As said above, the article says that the iPhone


both of them can manage Flash, Java and MMS. Even more interesting, the platform also has the GPS, FM tuner and 3G capabilities already built-in. But what is the good news here? All those features can be activated by a simple firmware update!

The iphone CAN manage those things. but like everyone is saying above, just because it CAN does not mean it has those parts built in. Java I belive won't be a problem for the iPhone. Flash is a possiblity but will DESTROY battery life. MMS is as simple as a software update.

the GPS FM tuner and 3G parts...well first off I have my doubts they would all fit on one tiny chip and not eat battery life.

More importantly, wouldn't Apple have to inform the FCC if the iphone would ever have these abilities? 3G, FM, and GPS all are using radio waves.
