I tried the free version of Beweather, but I am not impressed.
1) when you select a weather station you can’t zoom in on the map, this makes selecting a specific station in a city awkward
2) it has a nice per hour weather forecast, but if you scroll through you can’t see which day you’re looking at
3) the app crashed several times, for example just tapping a few times above the map makes the app crash
4) it has no short time rain forecast in my region (but I knew that)
I mainly end up using it for the widget that's quite customizable. And then for actual app usage I mostly use Weather Underground (which is basically also what supplies the stations and data for BeWeather too).

Anyone using Hello Weather? I had been using WU, or Dark Sky. But I’m kind of liking Hello Weather. It has a great interface, you can select from I think five different sources for the weather info. I did just get it a couple days ago though, so I haven’t done a lot of testing or comparison. And I don’t think they have a watch app which I kind of would like.

I've been using Hello Weather and find it to be great. For me it's a race between Weather Line and Hello Weather on any given day.

I love and use the app (and mainly the widget) since years already. The only things I miss are:

* have the option to see minute by minute rainforecast for the Netherlands (limitation of the weather source)
* show more then 3 days ahead in the widget

1) In the paid version you can do that by increasing the map. You can do this by selecting the map and swipe up and down at the same time. Then you have the full map and you can then zoom in as you would do normally. Not sure if this also works in the free version.
2) That is a good point, it starts at today and when you scroll though it would be handy to show the actual day. Maybe send a suggestion to the developer for that
3) I haven't had that with the Pro version (which has got a lot of updates lately). The free version has just been updated since 2 years.
4) It indeed doesn't have a minute by minute rain forecast for the Netherlands which is a limitation of the weather source unfortunately. You can use other widgets (or apps) like Buienalarm or Regenmelding for that untill then.

I just downloaded Hello Weather last night after using Dark Sky exclusively for years. I really like the UI a lot. I played around with the app and really enjoyed it, so paid the $5 to join their club. I really like how you can change the source of the weather data.

I would like to see them add push notifications and an Apple Watch app in the future. I was caught off guard when I noticed the app doesn't have push notifications (unless I'm missing something).

Thanks. Yes, maybe the free version is relatively new and some things need ironing out. I think I will check again after a few updates.

I saw Weather Line today as a featured app in the App Store, I’ll have to check it out. If you find that you end up liking one better than the other let us know. Thanks

I’ve never cared about push notifications on a weather app, but I guess that could be nice for alerts. But I agree with the watch app, I really hope they come out with one. What I kind of like though is that I can set the weather Channel is the source, it appears to be the most accurate for my area anyway, so if I just use the stock complication I get the same temperature on my phone and my watch. I always hated when I had one app on my phone showing one temperature and forecast, and my watch was showing a temperature that was different

I definitely agree with you on the notifications. I really would only want a notification for weather alerts. I liked how Dark Sky would send a push notification when it was going to rain/snow in my area. But I generally check weather apps multiple times a day, so I don't necessarily need notifications alerting me when it's going to start raining/snowing.

Hello weather looks interesting, can’t check it at the moment coz you need iOS11… do they have widget as well? if so, how is it compared to BeWeather and WeatherPro widgets?

As much as i like BeWeather widget specially coz you can switch locations, after the last update its still not so accurate…so for now, between the build-in weather app, weatherPro (mainly for its widget) and SnowForecast im covered.

One of the things that I don't think is provided by the Hello Weather widget is the forecast for upcoming (few) days, at least not by the free version.

As far as BeWeather, are you talking about accuracy of the actual data? If so, you should be able to switch between different weather stations and find one that is nearby you that is more accurate for you.

It would be nice, but i can live without the forecast for the upcoming days, as long as i can have widget with the correct-hi-lo temps and hourly forecast im fine. As for BeWeather, i tried to switch between different stations but no luck...

Weather line needs the ability to change the source, then it would be OK. For now it’s definitely not for me

I agree that it would be great to be able to change the source on Weather Line. On Hello Weather, I switch back and forth between Dark Sky and Weather Underground as the source of the data. Recently, Dark Sky has been more accurate so the single source on WL hasn't been an issue. That said, I've moved Hello Weather back to my home screen (vs. WL). I've found the UI — especially when customized — to be great. I also really like the way the precipitation graph disappears entirely if nothing is projected. For me, the widgets/watch stuff isn't a decision-making point, so I think I'll stick with Hello Weather (for now).
