Regardless he's not hosting the files so they can't do anything. They can just remove the links.
Hmm. When a broadcaster transmits something (whether recorded or live) they put it 'on air'. When you watch it on your TV the signal is coming off the air (hence the phrase 'off-air'). That's why an off-air feed and a live feed (in the way you mean) are exactly the same thing. As someone who has worked for the BBC for eleven years, you can trust me on this one.
