Thanks to all of you for entering this contest:
it looks like you were brave enough to participate and not afraid to get on the podium ?

Each one of you had something special to show, difficult decision to pick the winners.

@mollyc Nice photo and glad to see you back

@OldMacs4Me I ‘m really tempted to give you the podium, nice window and crop

@oblomow A simple interpretation of the theme. I like it.

@StrollerEd I love it: a very precious rail to pass on to the next generation

@squawk7000 Nice bike and photo.

@Hughmac Are you collecting all those bears?

@Darmok N Jalad You are really specialized in squirrels! Very original photo.

@imac wannabe Great photo, more interesting with the little boy checking the next coming train

@mtbdudex Beautiful family but I do not see any toy: I’m like the kids there: let’s open those gifts

The podium goes to

3rd place - @Hughmac and @StrollerEd

2nd place - @imac wannabe and @OldMacs4Me

1st place - @Darmok N Jalad

Well done and thanks to everyone for joining in this contest!

Thank you for the ultra safe 3rd.
This is my recently departed wife's collection of bears. They all have names and characters, and are currently sitting on the shelf in our garden workroom.

She went into a care home 6 months ago suffering dementia, and over the months lost capacity to do anything for herself, and eventually a couple of weeks after her 65th birthday, everything just gave out.

I have got used to living on my own these last months, but I was visiting as often as allowed to help with Lyn's care. There's just a big hole now.

Enough of this, it makes me more sad, so thanks for all your condolences.

Hugh

And it’s a privilege to share that bit of the podium with those teddies that clearly have so much meaning.

A reminder to enjoy the years we have with loved ones.

Sincere condolences Hugh.
