Thanks for the explanation. It works well in this context.

A late entry there from Kecklund. Thanks for that. Nice shot.

Looks like there will be no last gasp effort from Laird so here are the winners.

3rd Anotherscotsman
2nd E3BK
1st highdefjunkie - I love this image. Really moody ands atmospheric.

Over to you HDJ.

Wow! I feel so honored to be in the same company as @highdefjunkie & @anotherscotsman! Thank you. I wasn't really expecting to place but just wanted to share my love of Paris. It's my favorite city after NYC. It's such a special place to me.

@Scepticalscribe I was standing on Pont du Carrousel facing west to Pont Royal so that is the Musee d' Orsay.

Well, once again, a lovely shot, @E3BK - exceedingly atmospheric and very redolent of Paris. I loved it (I know Paris pretty well) but wasn't sure of the exact setting, so thanks for your explanation.

E3BK - That my friend, is a superb sunset shot!

And it's nothing compared to how beautiful it was in person. But I'm so glad you liked it. Had just gotten into Paris that day from Amsterdam, checked into the hotel and basically ran to the Seine from the Jardin du Luxembourg to make the sunset. lol. Thanks again for the kind words.

OK guys and gals let's wrap this up and get on to the next one. Some wonderful entries this week and it was really tough to choose a winner from two in particular. I may have to flip a coin on this one.

NeGrit0 - Nice B&W treatment of fake Paris there.

Lol, Thanks MacRy. Congrats to the winners!

I've got this far down and realised that Laird Knox hasn't submitted an entry and as he did ask for clarification on the rules of the brief and we all know that he swoops in at the last minute and submits a show stealer, i'm going to wait a few more hours to see if he submits anything.

I'm such a tease :)
Sorry, I missed another one.

I wanted to try a double exposure of the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty (Las Vegas editions) on the 8x10. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get out and shoot. :(

Opening show will have sold out by now me thinks. Big SW fan so can't wait. Film starts at midnight and in work the next day. It's going to be a fun Friday.

I have been watching the trailers and getting all excited like an E3BK... Knee tapping, fly catcher grin, the works... :)
