Weekly Photo Contest 2nd-9th March 2019 - Pairs

For this week's challenge, please come up with a photo of a pair. What sort of pair is up to your own interpretation.

The usual rules apply:


· The photographs must be your own work.

· Be creative and have fun.

· You may only submit one photo per contest.

· Please do not comment on photos until after the judging has taken place.

· The contest runs for a week and starts now!

· At the end of the week, The Judge (last week's Winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.

· If the Judge is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline for close, then a vote will be carried out to select a winner. This will be based on the number of "likes" each image has. In the event of a draw, the second place winner from the previous week will choose the tiebreaker.

· The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).

· Please update the Weekly Photo Contest Master List when you post a new contest.

URGGHHHHHHH.

I have 2 pears left in the fridge. I was going to do that this morning and post it before I got started on other stuff. Today's "other stuff" is bottling a batch of beer, which is more fun than paring pears.

Now, if we both did it, however, and shot picts of the process and posted them together, then we would have.......

Paired picts of a pair of paired pared pears being pared in pairs by a pair of us.

It did cross my mind this would happen. However, may the best pear win :D

I’ll go abstract/artsy. This is a close crop of a section of a glass chamsah (a hand shaped amulet). I duplicated the original, made mirror images, and rotated them around the center point. Two of the frames are positive images and two are negative images.

So, yes. I did pare the original and then present it as a pair of pairs.

I originally was going to pare the pair of pears like @Darmok N Jalad suggested , but they're keeping me away from sharp objects :D . Tried to find an au pair to do the work, but they're just not around where I live.
