Thanks you all for this weeks entries. . It’s great that some many of you found time to shoot or go over your archives. I was hoping to see more animals in your shots, but everybody has their own interpretation. Be prepared for my amateur remarks and feel free to ignore them.
@anotherscotsman A great start of the week’s contest. I love the colour of the British mountains. It looks like the houses are sturdy and will survive another century.
@someoldguy That has been there a long time. And it’s. not the plants that did the killing but the weather. I like it. (however the sky looks a bit dull)
@stillcrazyman Technically a great shot, but it’s missing context. Without the explanation it can easily be a drain of some kind.
@Hughmac Is this in the UK? Blue skies? I really like the fact the in the UK they don’t tear down old factories or buildings ( like they do in the NL) but they ignore and forget them. Sometimes for decades. It can look messy, but it also creates a special atmosphere. Like this.
@tizeye This looks like the final stage. It soon be over.
@mollyc The house and its owners are fighting back. I don’t see nature winning here. Love the shades of green.
@uvafan1 The shadows are a bit too dark for me. I like how the trees are slowly attacking the house.
@needfx Are you trying to fool me, Patrick? Is it just a ruin, shot through the trees?
@mackmgg A simple interpretation of the theme. I like it. Is the roads getting fainter in the distance? The road will soon be gone if the lockdown continues.
@cogi0490 Trees growing through the roof? It’s payback time for nature. Soon the walls will be crumbling down. Shot in the middle of the day I assume. The contrast between the sky and the bottom right needs fixing.
@Giuanniello I’m puzzled by this entry. The shot is technically perfect and I like the execution. However I fail to see the connection with this week’s theme. Or is nature taking over your camera?
@tcphoto1 It will take some time, but the shed will be covered and unrecognisable. The greens look overexposed on my screen.
The podium:
1st place Mackmgg
2nd Anotherscotsman
3rd Tizeye
