@oblomow Mined you  wouldnt mined an explanation of yours. Looks like a Mine but the lady seems to be in a lab coat. So is it some sort of Geological study context? or analytical chemistry gig?

Well done everyone. Not being a people shooter I didn't have much to choose from.
The sky was pretty grey so I already pushed the blue channel quite a bit.
Congrats on the well deserved win @pmxperience.

I do think yours ranks first on the "never in a million years" category...

Yes dad. It's in a mine in the Harz area, Germany.
She is a guide in the mine. She didn't look to friendly. I couldn't resist taking her photo. The surrounding is dark and depressing, so that probably didn't help her either. No study or gig. My work is in IT. Clean rooms, bright lights. Shaven people.

Wow, after 6 years of pole positions, I've finally taken one home! Thanks for the fine judging this week @MacRy.

New contest will be up in a bit. Have to finish adulting first.
Very well deserved win fella. Like Ken said it definitely floats the MacRy boat.

Shaven people? No photographers then!

Well in your @MacRy you could say that about a few things! Spiders, ladders, it's a shock he gets through the day! ;)

What a great set of entries. I don't do much in the way of people and as soon as i saw what was entered, gave up the will to try!

My personal favourite and worthy winner.

Other favourites -

I was really struggling on this one to get a decent candidate image.

Concentration by Ken OHagan, on Flickr

As a scientist, I liked the lab scene - very nicely done.

B&W seems to work best for this theme. Again, well done everyone.

Yes, you are right, I put too much saturation in. It was really meant to be a placeholder but it seems I didn't find enough time to do a decent entry.
However, the winners were brilliant shots, as were the rest of the entries.

Cheers :)

Thanks @MacRy for judging and thanks for your kind comments, everyone. It was a job for a local brewery, and the lab photo was one of the few photos with no beer in sight :).
