Well done everyone and congratulations to the winners, great shots! I feel like my shots cannot compare to the others lately in competitions but it's good for learning for sure.

Yes, keep going; I've only had a DSLR for just over a year and it's a constant learning curve.
Most of my stuff gets no acclaim, but I'm trying to get better by watching what the others do and finding out how they do it.

Cheers :)

Hugh

I really liked your shot. Keep at it mate, contests like this can only help you improve.

Thanks everyone, appreciate it! This is what I like about the group, really great bunch of photographers! Looking forward to the next challenge, also weather is improving so might get some new shots hopefully! :)

WOW I WON!!!!! Thanks MacRy I appreciate it. That shot was taken during Scott Kelby's Worldwide Photo Walk. It was my entry into his contest as well. Let me think of a theme and I will post it up

Congrats on the well deserved win.
Tell me more about the photo walk. Was it worthwhile doing? I've never been on one.

The photowalk is great fun and I had the opportunity to lead one last year. It's great fun to get a large group of photographers in one place and see all the different images that come out of it. There were 30+ on my walk and the images that came out of it was amazing

Congratulations to the winners and to MacRy for the quality judging.

My photo was taken with the Canon 20mm f/2.8 - an oldie but goodie when used with the in-camera (6D) or post- lens correction capabilities.

Wow that's really weird. I definitely put critique in for Chappers and checking it just now in Tapatalk it is appearing, but when looking in Safari it has disappeared. Tapatalk really is a piece of **** these days!

I read you critique on my mobile - so no worries, although I'm not sure how my son would feel about it. It's

Mate I am so sorry! I've just looked at your photo again and it's so clearly a boy. That'll teach me to pay more attention

Hm.

Really, an excellent photograph, fireman32. When I initially laid eyes on this shot, several days ago, my first reaction was a mental homage to Baron Haussmann.

Also really liked Hughmac's daffodils, and anotherscotsman's wonderful picture. Arsolu's guitar neck was gorgeous, and, while I really liked the droplets on truttray's shot, I wonder what it was exactly.

I've been away and it looks as though I missed a great contest. Well done fireman!

On my screen Chappers critique is there but his name is missing so it looks as though it's part of fireman's.

Yes, that is how it looked to me, too, until I re-read it closely and realised that MacRy thought it had shown correctly when he commented on it.

Ha Ha - Kids. No worries. My boy looks for like his mother than me and when they are young it is impossible to tell at a glance these days.

I know I am late to post this picture :apple:
