Shop owners work hard (or at least they should) to get potential customers to, first, stop and look at their storefront and, second, to come in and buy something. This typically involves putting goods for sale in a window display but, as you see in this first photo, they might also put goods outside. Some can be very colorful and creative. Let's see what you've got!

These shots were taken on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii, USA:

The rules:

· The photographs must be your own work.

· Be creative and have fun.

· You may only submit one photo per contest.

· Please do not comment on photos until after the judging has taken place.

· The contest runs for a week and starts now!

· At the end of the week, The Judge (last week's Winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.

· If the Judge is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline for close, then a vote will be carried out to select a winner. This will be based on the number of "likes" each image has. In the event of a draw, the second place winner from the previous week will choose the tiebreaker.

· The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).

· Please update the Weekly Contest Master List when you post a new contest.

Good luck everyone and looking forward to seeing what you can do with the theme.

This is not a genre I really ever shoot, but as luck would have it I took several that would fit this category when we were in Richmond on spring break. This one is a bit different than normal, as I was standing inside the coffee shop, looking out, but with the windows/doors wide open, it was very inviting for us just to walk in and see what they had to offer. We didn't buy anything, but we definitely went in because of the street view. :)

Looks like a place nearby I've been to many times. Love the weathered wood and open air.

Perhaps not a particularly good photograph, but the Contest Title reminded me of this photo and the rather unique neon sign.

Ketchikan, Alaska.

What signs are better at getting your attention than neon? They work day and night.

...From street...Evening lights inside a downtown caffeteria.

Moody and atmospheric. Love it.

Had only the jpg left and needed to adjust the brightness...so unfortunately it is a bit noisy.

I love how busy the scene is. it's packed with visuals that are fun to try and identify.

An arts and crafts shop in Münster at night:

Beautiful lettering on the window, and we've been looking for a chalkboard like that for 3 years!

I wonder if peering through the windows of one of the local wineries into the tasting room counts?

Or peering out with a glass in your hand! Love how the reflection off the globe lights.

Some stores put out merchandise, and others put out their watchman...

Is he saluting you, for taking his picture? All that glass… smart. Let's people see everything inside.

1912 front with Jugendstil influences

Beautiful doors and intricate brick work. I'm gonna have to Google Jugendstil…

Here's an old Phillips 66 station, on the way to nowhere…

I am curious where in Utah you live? One of my kids has been living in Mapleton and now Orem for about 4 years now.

I didn't think I'd get an entry in, but this afternoon I took the car for some work, and the area around the garage was packed with car showrooms and dealerships from various manufacturers.
Luckily I had the trusty old RX100 strapped to my belt.
