Welcome to this weeks photo contest thread.

Theme: Moving

This week's theme is moving, but I'm not talking about an object or person in motion. What I'm after is a photograph that moves you emotionally in some way. It can be a photograph that moves you to action (inspiring), to feel joy, or sadness, or possibly a photograph that moves you to laugh. Anything that moves you to a significant emotional response is fair game.

Rules:
1. Please submit only one photo per contest.

2. Please do not comment on photos until after the judging has taken place.

3. The contest runs for exactly one week, starting NOW! (see time/date stamp at the start of this thread)

4. At the end of the week, The Judge (last week's Winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible. (Judge has 24 hours to make decision)

5. The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme)

* To see all of our past contests please see the sticky thread https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/580184/ *

Good luck to everyone!

This makes me laugh and love her more every time I see it :)

I took this over Christmas last year. It was just an extended family out for a walk. Such a simple thing but it made me sad as it's the sort of thing my family doesn't do as my daughter is autistic and hates being outside.

Just a reminder, the contest will be open until midnight tonight. Tough subject, but great pics so far!

Contest closed. I'll be posting a winner sometime today. Great photographs!

There were some good entries for this week's photo contest. Well done everyone! Without further delay, here are your winners:

3rd place: DirtySocks85. I can feel some raw emotion in the animal's eyes. Well framed.

2nd place: NeGRit0. This image evokes a feeling of captivity for me.

1st place: Neur0genesis. Well done! You captured quite a breathtaking scene. I'm a sucker for a heavenly landscape!

Thanks for the nod AlexH. Great contest this week with some truly moving images, I went through the whole gamut of emotions just scrolling through the thread.

NeGRit0 - Your image hit the theme perfectly, but as someone that works in the zoo industry it kills me because it perpetuates the myth that zoos are horrible places that keep animals "locked up". I have a few similar shots and I usually don't publish them due to how they can be perceived by the public. That isn't to say that I don't think that you're a wonderful photographer, and that you didn't nail the theme dead on (you totally are, and you totally did). It's just an emotional response I wish people wouldn't feel. For example, I almost entered this one, but didn't for that very reason:

Neur0genesis - Congrats on the win. Absolutely breathtaking!
