I'm going to close this contest at noon local time today. I've got lots of other work to attend to, so I'll make it quick with the choices.

@deep diver - Learning new ways to be creative is a worthy challenge. I’ve enjoyed seeing the ICM photos you and others have posted.
@OldMacs4Me - Wonderful capture of a flower I’ve not seen before. And it’s so very apropos for this.

Stillcrazyman, thank you for the place on the podium!!!! Yes, ever since the theme was announced, I've had that particular quotation running around in my head.....and it was just a matter of finding the right image to match it! I am hoping that in the spring and summer, the warmer weather, that I will once again have opportunities to photograph the lovely Alfred.....he seems to have gone into hiding now during the colder weather.

Thanks for the mention. It was a really difficult topic as evidenced by the fairly small number of entries.
Truthfully I am finding it very difficult to find any optimism or hope, which is truly scary as I tend to be very optimistic.

It wasn’t really an event. About 15 people out in the desert doing what we do best. It was a fun way to see in the new year. Unfortunately my phone died before we got to the 2020 dumpster fire.
Well, yeah.
It was actually built for an event last May that was canceled due to COVID. The builder was tired of it sitting in his front yard.
I only decided to attend at 3pm that day. I had found out about it the night before. I did manage to bring my tiki/poofer proof of concept.
As requested, here's the cookie after coming out of the oven. Other than the 1 getting kind of eaten by the cookie, it worked better than I was expecting! I think white chocolate may have worked better, but oh well maybe next year... And a bonus picture of it at the top of a mountain at midnight!

ever had a chocolate chip cookie? the chips always retain their shape if you let them set before handling the cookie.
I see it. I guess I'm a little too used to the new link bring posted in the old thread.
To be fair, I did say “later today” and it ended up being “later tomorrow”
New contest is up now: Winter Time!
Still out of stock. Wrote to them today to see if they've any idea when they'll get them.
I was told me they expect them mid February as there have been delays coming from the US. I know they were out of stock at Lensbaby though. Let's hope they're not coming via USPS, I've had something stuck in Atlanta or the next stage for weeks!
