An otherwise drab day at Rocky Mountain Arsenal became, briefly, intensely lit with sun across the lake, big sky and prairie beyond.

From my archives circa 2000-something, the boatbuilding shop from the old Harvey Gamage Boatyard, South Bristol, Maine, before it was torn down and replaced with a sleek vinyl-sided larger building. With the state it's in, you can understand why a woman walking her dog nearby asked whether I was taking photos for insurance purposes. The boatyard was featured in the 1989 movie, Signs of Life, with Vincent D'Onofrio, Arthur Kennedy, Beau Bridges, and Mary-Louise Parker.
