Shapes. Circles, squares, triangles, rhomboids (I might have to look that one up), this theme is self-explanatory. Shapes, or a shape, does not have to be present throughout the picture but at least feature in some way. Same shapes, different shapes, whatever strikes your fancy. I trust the creativity of this crowd much too much to specify any more and look forward to seeing what you present. I would encourage everyone to have some fun with this.

Standard rules apply.

Follow all relevant local laws regarding stay-at-home orders. If you can't go outside, try and take a photo at home or grab one from the archives.
  • Do not comment, vote, react or click “like” on images prior to the winners being announced.
  • The photographs must be your own work.
  • You may only submit one photo per contest.
  • This contest runs for one week. If in doubt, check the dates in the title.
  • At the end of the week, The Judge will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.
  • If the Judge is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline, then last week's 2nd place has to step in. 3rd place takes over should 2nd place be similarly unable to officiate.
  • The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create a new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).
  • Be sure to update the Contest Master List as soon as you post a new theme.

Another theme that is so simple and so hard all at the same time.

Love it.

Philadelphia.
A veritable melange of geometric shapes: arches, hyperbolae, semicircles, arcs, circles, trapezoids, triangles, cylinders, rectangles, squares, and probably some others. There are also ovals and rhomboids that are really circles and rectangles that look like ovals and rhomboids because of the perspective.

I am going to try my hand with an archive shot. I loved taking images of the Louvre but I think if I go back now I would look behind the entrance more than I did this last time. At the time I took this I was very much a tick box snapper. Basically going places and ticking the usual tourist boxes for the images. I would hope I can see a little deeper next time - whatever year AC that is (After Covid). Anyway, I hope you like it.
