So thanks for the honorable mention and congratulations to everyone for some solid entries.

Dad's death was many years ago. Since then I have lost many more family members as has my lovely wife. When it happens the memories overwhelm you, but sometime down the road that changes and those same memories become your most precious possessions. For many years I was able to post a slide show via my ISP with music tied to the slide progression. That option is no longer available. At some point I may put together a video I can share but video is really not my strong suit.

Thanks for the feedback. I suppose like most branches of photography aviation takes lots of practice, and a knowledge of the subject helps. sadly I’m out of practice and don’t have the same access, maybe I need to make some phone calls.

well done everyone that entered, especially the podium.

Congratulations to the winners, all well deserved and to mollyc for judging .
And to answer your question: yes, I had to come up with something ?
Even if in real life I have more things/persons I love it but not enough time and space to put all in there.

Okey dokey, some quick comments from me. Thanks to all who participated!

1. @kenoh I am mesmerized every time I see a photo of your bunnies. I am often left wondering how they can see. But I love that you love them and that you admit that you love them. My husband loves our dog but hates to admit it.

2. @Allyance A beautiful image of a beautiful car. My dad has had some MGs along the way. Lovely framing and black and white on this.

3. @kenoh Oh...back for some more? I didn't expect anyone would actually post a photo of a calculator. You might regret your enthusiasm (although I seem to remember an obscure topic from you last time, so you might be safe).

4. @CooperBox what a fun doggy. Is he still a puppy? His feet look huge!

5. @katbel I love that you thought about this and set it up for the contest. And if not for the contest, then clearly you have already thought about favorite things before. Either way, it's nice to see some pieces of you here.

6. @oblomow What a great vista; I love the scale of the people and steps along side of the rockface, and what a great moment you captured with him looking out over the scene.

7. @OldMacs4Me what beautiful clarity in your image and an even more beautiful story. I hope time has healed some of your sorrow.

8. @Hughmac Oh sweet Sam. I love his little crooked front teeth, and he looks so happy and loved. Thank you for sharing him with us.

9. @squawk7000 See I did not have airplane on my list and I love that you thought of something out of the norm. This is a great capture of what is a difficult subject.

10. @Slartibart A ferret? Such funny animals. I like juxtaposition of the words on the bag with his tiny little head peering out.

11. @Darmok N Jalad I love that you chose your daughter and her love also. I love the bokeh and depth of field here.

Here ends comments, and here begins punishment, errr, rankings.

Third place: @Hughmac

Second place: @oblomow and @OldMacs4Me

First: @kenoh....you have only yourself to blame

@Hughmac was lovely to see Sam there.

Well erm yeah I brought in the heavy artillery there I guess. The two characters in frame are Boo (L) and Chewy (R). They are brothers though their markings are completely different but they are double mane Lionhead bunnies. Our little girl bunny is camera shy and so isn’t in frame (long story as to how we ended up with three). We call Boo Teddy Boo because he is like a teddy bear and Chewy, well we call him lots of things. All I will say is we named him well.

They are an absolute joy to have. Not quite what I first thought of when my wife said we should get a “house bunny”. I never thought of having rabbits before but I was convinced and here we are.

As for seeing, they need a trim but trust me, they have no problem at all seeing the treat bag in your hand! There is not much that can melt your heart like watching a bunny eat a strawberry.

Thank you for the punishment, sorry I mean the top spot….

Great choice kenoh! I've had the HP11c scientific calculator for many years and it's still going strong. Love the reverse Polish notation, it makes it so easy to use.
