God forbid the judge ever be allowed to compare apples to apples. It would make the job way too easy! If I am ever here again maybe I'll pick apples as the topic.:)

Inflicting that pain on the judge is the only joy we get out og gambling on first place.

It is a great topic in part because it is hard. We appreciate the time it takes to write thoughtful comments.

Did you notice that I'm still struggling to say "thank you"? I was taught always to be polite, so............

T. Th. Tha. Than. Thank. Thanks. ?

I'll have the new topic posted later today.

I don’t think my photo was very set up other than using a tripod. I don’t really remember but at the time my husband had already moved for his new job and the kids and I stayed back a couple of months. I think he was home on the weekend and it occurred to me we needed a photo of us all in front of the house before it was too late. If you haven’t noticed, I like flowers so those were just there as a matter of course. ?

it occurs to me that I should do a similar photo in our current house even though we aren’t moving any time soon.

Thanks for your comments, I know the photo could have been better technically, but it was a spur of the moment shot, more interested in the subject than the composition. Just wanted to give Squeak one last shot of immortality.
Not sure about immortality, but a week is a big step up from the allotted 15 minutes.

The hallmark of a good photographer, it's all so automatic that things often just fall seamlessly into place. The new photo will definitely be different with you now looking up at your son.:)

Thanks for the judging/comments! Hopefully some folks found the entry and the other extraneous stuff entertaining . My entry pic is from 2015 , which was the last time I was at the Point . Tried to get there last week , but the undergrowth in the forest has gotten quite a bit bigger . There's no marked trail or directions to find the place , think I went down every deer/animal track through the bush to the cliff , but no luck . Guess the critters just aren't old movie fans .

Another awesome judging @OldMacs4Me and thank you for the podium, especially sharing with someone like @Hughmac.

I agree with both of your comments on the entry being a bit too stretched and the artefacts.

I just didn’t notice it on my phone well. Guess this one is a better version?!

Someone like me?
Thank you, especially as I can't get out much with a camera these days due to family circumstances, but I can tell you that I am a big fan of your work ;)

Cheers :)
