Sorry for the delay - air traffic control delays....Thanks everyone for some great photos, hopefully judging can live up to the quality of entries.
As far as pano stitching is concerned, I personally use Hugin - free (highly desirable to the Scot) and does a very good job IMHO.
pmexperience: having been there, I know what you mean with respect to air quality. I like the way your pano gives the impression of expanse, something the original architects certainly wanted in terms of impressing their power. Good use of the format. Photo could have done with a bit more life but I'm sure the air issues and overall lack of dynamic range in the subject were an issue here.
Illuminated: last time I was in Denver I was stuck overnight at the airport in a blizzard but I won't let that put me off! Nice view to have from your apartment and a nice sunset but I don't know that a panoramic format added a great deal to the image.
Miltz: I'm a sucker for NYC I'm afraid - I'll be there later this week. Great use of the format for that iconic view. If I had to be critical, it is perhaps a little too HDR-ish for my tastes but I like it nonetheless. Good composition and flow.
Scam: ditto with respect to NYC and from a pretty close location to Miltz. Lovely night shot with both foreground and distant interest and great use of colour temperatures. If I had to be critical, it would be nice to have included a bit more of the Brooklyn Bridge in the composition (wider panorama) but I recognise it isn't always possible.
someoldguy: I was expecting an NYC shot from you. I really like the way you have used the format - the mesa snakes its way across the field of view. Again to be picky it is perhaps slightly too cropped top-and-bottom but certainly makes for an interesting pano.
sixkiller: great pano of the Brooklyn Bridge. Nicely captures the FDR leading towards the bridge. Nice, almost selective colour treatment and the misty atmosphere comes over well.
Keno: I know how difficult it is to get good sunrise or sunsets over Glasgow and this captures a lot of lovely subtle colours and cloud textures. To be picky/critical, the foreground is a bit dark with not a lot of interest/detail. Nice one.
Hughmac: Good use of the pano format and an interesting subject. I'd almost be tempted to get rid of the lefthand bridge to eliminate the concrete structure. I like the sky but again being picky, might perhaps benefit from a more contrasty post.
Nice one.
AlexanderofOz: Lovely clouds and colours and good use of the format. Being picky, perhaps a little unbalanced in composition - I'd be inclined to get rid of some of the left side and focus on the pier structure round to the kids fishing. Lovely.
Redoctober: Great use of the format and the inclusion of the hot air balloons really gives a sense of scale and gives a good colour contrast between them and the brownish landscape. Would have loved to have seen the equivalent in one of the more verdant seasons or with a bit more green in post.
glenthompson: Certainly shows the vastness of Alaska and makes me want to go there but I'm sorry that the mountains over on the right are a little lost. Almost a case of too much pano I'm afraid but hen again I could probably say the same for my example at head of the post!
elberta: I like the foggy treatment (would have been a good entry for that theme a few back). I think the pano format is almost a necessity here given the lack of any sky detail due to the fog. Good, attractive composition
JDDavis: Great use of the format and I like the bands of colour and texture ranging from the foreground grass to the clouds. Big Country.
soulreaver99: A bit like Redoctobers's shot, the inclusion of the person on the left really puts the view into perspective. To be picky, the blue parts of the scene are a little indistinct but overall, a goos use of the format to portray a really attractive vista.
Applefanboy: You never just make up the numbers! A nice English landscape vista with pano giving an impression of what the eyes see. perhaps lacking slightly in points of focus but then again, that is an issue with panorama as a format.
Badrottie: Perhaps a little too much sea in the composition and unfortunately changes in exposure through the pano. As with glenthompson above, perhaps a little too wide a vista to discern points of interest.
rx7Dude: NYC again, this time from the top of the Empure State? Good use of the format, especially when coupled with the fade into the distance of lower Manhattan and the World Trade Centre.
deep diver: certainly a different use of the format here. I for one love fresh, artisan breads and you certainly get over the virtual cornucopia of choice on offer here.
