Sharp eyes Paul! When my family vacationed there at the beach for a week, the Osprey would fly by every couple of hours. I got some great shots of them too, but they are not exactly right for the theme of this thread.

Good morning all. Thanks for all the submissions. There were many great shots. Picking a 'winner' is difficult and a little uncomfortable for me. Mostly because I don't like the pressure of choosing one person's work over another.
Who am I to judge ? That sort of feeling. Nonetheless, it falls to me to choose, so here are my top 3 choices.

Well done and these would have been my choice as well but a fantastic set of entries.
Great competition and some superb entries. Actually, I am struck by the fact that all of the winning entries featured not just a sunset but a sunset which was shot over water.
I thought they were excellent, but I also liked needfx's entry; I love Istanbul, and sunset in Istanbul, along with water and the stunning Hagia Sophie & Blue Mosque in the background makes (for me) what seemed a lovely shot.
