The contest is closed... here are my comments... we had a limited number of entries, a bit of confusion (perhaps even controversy), and you're having to endure a rookie "judge" this week... but here goes nothing:

I thought all of the entries were well done.

@RedOctober - I like this for the simple reason... it's all about the kids.

@MacRy - Great composition, and love the expression on the youngster. Every kid should have their photo taken in sunglasses.

@Ish - Nice image of a tender moment - there's nothing more peaceful than a sleeping baby.

@kenoh - Great composition, love the lighting and the joy of this photo.

@needfx - Love that you thought "outside the box" on this one. Your composition is spot on with your theme.

I have questions about this one. I miss context. Is the kid an orphan? We only see a kid in a wrong size shirt. How can we tell that there is a story about a absent dad? Or is this just ethnic profiling? Perhaps I'm just too cynical. The photo is nice, but there are questions.

@oblomow - no need for further context. It is just like an abstract painting; a title is given and there is no correlation between the title and the visual.
