Sorry for the late judging. That's the downside of ended this things on the weekends.
cupcakes2000 - reminds me of something out of Hitchcock or those Japense horror films.
Nicolasdec - small man in a big place. Definitely get the sense of being alone here.
c1phr - this one made me chuckle.
Keleko - lots of stuff going on in the background here. Not sure it works with this theme.
Melizard - who doesn't love cat photos. Like the tone of colors in this one.
NeverhadaPC - I see what you were trying to do here. The composition is a bit of and the motorcycle in the background distracts.
Ravaroo - now that would be scary to be out there like that.
Hisdem - I dig this a little bit.
dmblau - I wish the man was more of the subject. He blends into the background.
pukifloyd - usually not a fan of selective coloring, but this one works.
AirborneAngel - has a clean look to it. If you shop out the background bird, this would have more impact.
oblomow - nice. If you could shop out the trees along the background horizon and fix the contrast and sharpen a bit, this would be a strong image. Spend some more time in Lightroom and Photoshop if you have them.
TheDrift- - Nice. I would like to have seem more of the top above her head. Perhaps give it a different crop?
jeevesofRKdia - very nice. Looks like something from NatGeo or the Discovery channel.
zildjansg - always a fan of your image and this is no exception.
gnd - interesting image.
H2Ockey - powerful!
Chappers - almost looks like a painting. This is more sorrow than alone. That's just me though.
Laird Knox - not sure how you pulled that off, but a very arresting image.
flosseR - as usual, you a great photograph.
deep diver - wasn't really feeling this one, but I love the sharpness of this one.
NeGRit0 -powerful image. I always like your photos.
elfy- definitely a great portrait and great black and white with superb lighting.
Hankster - cute photo. Don't really get the sense of being alone with this one.
designguy79 - I love this low light photo.
dslade09 - no sense of aloneness in this one

Wow, thanks! I'm finally getting the hang of this photography thing, lol. When I saw the topic I immediately knew I was going to use that photo, but the version I already had on Flickr was SOOC, so I threw it in photoshop and cleaned it up some. I really like these threads, gives me a reason to go back through old work, and apply the new skills ive learned.
Any who, enough rambling. Thanks again for the nod Razeus, there were some excellent photos submitted. I'll have this weeks thread posted soon. I have to think of a subject/topic as I didnt really expect to win.

Razeus: This photo was taken during my nephew's baseball game. The pitcher was trying to get the save, think he's about 8 years old. Anytime you're pitching in a baseball game you're very much alone standing there on the mound
Though, unless you're into baseball it's tough to read into it like I just did.

I know the contest is over but here is a picture I took this weekend that made me think of this contest. Kind of being alone in a crowd. I love the lone cyclist and the group of bikers.
