Hope they are ok.this is closed; I'll definitely be back with comments but i've got a kid home today with a possible concussion, so things are going a bit sideways. hang tight.

When I was at RIT we had three majors in photography: Photo Science (mine), Professional Photography and Illustration. This a great example of an Illustrator’s work. My roommate was an avid Illustrator, embracing photos taken in the fleeting moment. He used a Leica covered with black tape so he could be as inconspicuous as possible.View attachment 2109645
Steven Van Zandt, aka Little Steven or Miami Steve from the E Street Band, aka Silvio Dante on The Sopranos. At the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta on Jan. 20, 1986, for the first celebration of Martin Luther King Day as a national holiday.
Shot on Tri-X with a Nikon F3 and a Nikkor 300mm f/2.8, hand developed in the bathroom of a forgotten Atlanta motel room using hot Dektol to save a few minutes on deadline.
Thank you. And I've done the same thing - covering up the words on the front of my cameras with pieces of black tape, that way people aren't reading things like "Nikon" or "Canon" when it's best to have the camera (and the photographer) attract as little attention as possible. When I was at RIT we had three majors in photography: Photo Science (mine), Professional Photography and Illustration. Nowadays I feel like with the rise of smartphone camera capabilities with seeing less DSLR/Mirrorless cameras out and about one can comfortably assume that someone willing to carry one around is going to be fairly valuable.I've always thought it so strange that many consumers buy a new camera and immediately start using the camera strap which comes with it, something which loudly screams the camera brand and sometimes the model as well. Don't they realize that this is really a foolish thing to do? Aside from providing free advertising they're also broadcasting to the world that they have (potentially in some cases) an expensive camera body and lens hanging around their neck, just ripe for theft.....
