I did shoot it with the leaves in a central position but it didn't seem to work as well.

I'm sure you're right MacRy, lots of other things to take into account in practice. As I said, the colours and textures were great but it just didn't click for me.

It didn't really click with me either to be honest. I wasn't that happy with it, but it's all I had for the contest so I thought I'd enter it

Unfortunately you missed the close of the contest lparis. Pity, a lovely shot that fitted well with the theme. Well-worth posting in the main photo of the day section for wider viewing.
