Weekly Photo Contest (Sept 28 - Oct 5): Nighttime

Holy crap so many submissions! I normally try to do critiques and praises of each shot, but I sadly I'm running around too much.
I feel like just limiting this to a top 3 isn't enough! There were far too many good shots, it was really tough for me to decide.
1. Parkin Pig - I fell in love with this the moment I saw it, the wide works wonderfully capturing all the detail.
2. acearchie - A long exposure would've really wrecked this, your choice of using headlights to highlight the crossing really makes this stick.
3. fireman32 - From afar this works so well. The long exp of that central ride does this the most justice.
Other notables - Caliber26, jkramerbob, Puckman, rchip, twitch31, dmax35, Laird Knox, MacRy.
Seriously, this week everyone really brought great shots to the table, this was very tough. I look forward to next weeks contest!

Congrats to the winners and thanks to everyone who submitted entries. I didn't envy you this week Schtumple as there was some beautiful shots entered. Definitely agree with the winner, great shot. So sharp and perfectly exposed.

Wow I am happy to get third place with all the wonderful entries this week. I am going back to the state fair in a couple of weeks when it's back in town and try to do that shot again and improve on it. Congrats to Parkin Pig as I love that photo and is well deserved of the win.
So glad I wasnt judging this week. Such excellent photos. Well done all, and congratulations to the top 3.
