critics will say viewing angle isn't as wide on a DLP and they are right, but who is viewing HD content at such steep angles?

when I stand up (to play wii) you notice the brightness and color shift... but again who is watching TV standing up (Michael Scott? anyone?)

The viewing angle is probably the most annoying thing about DLPs and really any rear projection sets. One of the best parts about my new panny plasma is that I can be at ALMOST a 90 degree angle and the picture looks almost identical to when you're sitting directly in front of the set. Even when you're standing right over it, the brightness doesn't change, and it looks beautiful from every angle. It just 'feels' more modern and not so "old big-screen-esque".

Like I said, if I was setting up a home theatre, I knew where the seats were going to be, and they were going to be 100% stationary, then I think DLP woudl have been a good choice... but since I am in a semi-bright living room where my wife already thinks the TV takes up too much space and we adjust furniture semi-regularly... the large DLP doesn't seem like a viable option.

I am 100% happy with my purchase.

Haven't heard from the thread starter for a while... I wonder if he has done any research of his own or atleast found the information here useful.
