I thought that was resolved with an iOS update some time ago. Sounds like you have a different issue to the one resolved via the update then. I take it that you have tried erasing all content and setting up as new to test it’s not software related. Maybe then try another Apple store to see if you can get it replaced.
Maybe it’s country related since in Australia, Apple will look after us with warranty issues for 2 years.

Started after iOS 12.X update. I did try to reset and erase all - never have helped :( It's also hard to reproduce and demonstrate, it can happen immediately or after 10-15 minutes of work. Makes iPad extremely annoying. I can take this for a $200 device, but for $1000 it's unacceptable. The same as bend issue. Apparently bending happens to more users and gets more coverage.

I had to go in the Apple store yesterday to have them look at my granddaughter’s iPad.

Now I’ve done it; I’ve seen the new pros in person. I can’t unsee them.

Of course, I want one, even though my 2018 iPad is just fine, and does everything I really need.

They’re just so dang pretty.

Ha! That’s awesome. I went to look at them at Best Buy and as I was walking up there was an employee at the table with the iPads on it. He asked if he could help me. I pointed to the 12.9 and said, “I want that!” Didn’t even touch it. It’s great. I love it so much. By far it is my favorite tech I’ve ever had.

It's funny how different people are. I had sort of similar experience yesterday. I was looking for mp3 player and I was in a techie place and they had the new 11 inch iPad Pro on display. I decided to play around a little bit with it. For some reason I decided to load the Books app and it was not responsive the way I expected it to be. I wanted to access the library section but it was loading and loading without anything happening. Not a good experience in my book. I tried it twice and then I was like "Cool device, but not cool enough for me to buy it". And then I went on my initial plan - looking for mp3 player.

I can say that the device is good looking - definitely nicer than my regular 2018 6th gen iPad. No doubt about it, but for the price it is I would want more. Well more than what this new iPad Pro offers. Far more. Like I have said my current laptop costs that much and it offers more than the iPad and it's still my main device and it will always be just because iOS cannot offer me what I need.

If you haven’t already, try a different Apple Store to see if they are able to help you resolve it or replace it.
Bending is getting more coverage right now for a few reasons. If you buy a new iPad, you don’t want it bent out of the box, you don’t want it to bend easily either and you don’t want Apple to say that the bend is normal or caused by the user when it may have been that way out of the box or due to a weak chassis. I had a bent one out of the box and knew it was bent immediately, so I was able to contact Apple for a return. I don’t think it’s very common though, it’s just getting a lot of discussion.

For those worrying about the bending, yes it exists, but don’t let that stop you from purchasing this new iPad, as we don’t know the sample rate of how many are affected. Either way, even if you do purchase one and it has a bend, you are in Apples extended return holiday period though January 8th, with no questions asked.

Definitely worth it, mine is perfect. Don't listen to all the people claiming issues without having any of their own. If you decide to buy one, just look for any issues, and if not - you'll be happy.

My dude apple should pay you for each post , this kind of fanboying is above 4chan levels. The production line is flawed and looks like the worst bendgate to date. But hey as long as yours is perfect why should you care right ? /facepalm

I try to focus on facts instead of playing into the masses like everyone else on this site. As of now, there has been a bad batch of iPad's, mainly the 12.9 LTE model. This manufacturing issue doesn't mean it's a bad product or that every iPad will be bent. If someone were to receive a bent iPad, they should take it back and get a new one. They'll likely never think about the issue again. It's really not all doom and gloom like you make it out to be. Manufacturing issues happen with almost every product, it's not the end of the world. My point is that people should rely on their own experiences instead of listening to a bunch of people who don't even own the device.

Do you work at Apple? Cause that sounds very much like something an Apple employee would say at a store.

"Oh yeah, not only is this thing defective by design but also bends like a ripe banana. Oh well, you know it has that Apple logo, so just suck it up and give us money".

No, I don’t work for Apple. It’s called being optimistic about the situation as best you as you can if someone were to Purchase an iPad with A bend in it, and consider the return options. And what I said is true regarding the extended return period , which is something others should be aware of, if they purchased a new iPad for someone else that might have a defect.

{FTR, current Apple employees are prohibited from participating on sites like this.}
