I was.. There's a bunch of us that were. LEt's do like they said, and make our own thread!

I'm sitting in Anchorage, with the rest of you. When shall they depart? I'm coming to Richmond, VA.. Still showing an estimated delivery of Monday.

I paid for the shipping upgrade at order time.

Mine was on the flight.
Just have a some patience.. customs, sorting, and reshipment to commence.

<shrug> not really about impatience. It's exciting! This is what I live for. The more information about anything, the happier I am.... I think there are others here the same way

<come on.... come ooooonnnnnn..... .where are you computeR?! >

I was on flight 84; now sitting in Anchorage. I was upgraded to [2 day?] shipping by customer support.

i7 / 8 GB still estimated to arrive in NYC on 11/16; keeping hope alive for 11/13 delivery.

I must not get my hopes up...

The anticipation in this and other threads is palpable! Imagine if all of you gals n' guys get your sweet new 27 inchers for the WEEKEND!!!??? I'm not even pulling the trigger on a 27" yet and I'm still excited for all of you. Here's to getting your new baby's sooner than later. :D

Mine is on this flight.... hoping... wishing for tomorrow vs Monday.
I'd hate to have to think about it all weekend long.

Mine was on the flight too. Estimated delivery date, to St. Louis, is Monday but really hoping it gets here tomorrow.

I can't believe I've been watching the entire Quad Shipping thread for all these days!

It appears that my I7-8gb is on this same flight with everyone else based on my same 10:03AM landing time in Alaska. I have no clue how you are tracking this stuff in real time.... amazing..

Looks like I'm with the rest of you in hoping for a Friday delivery instead of Monday, but on the other hand it is Friday the 13th... ouch!

Another flight 84 i7 here. I'm in the Bay Area and FedEx has a distribution center in Oakland so I could easily see it arriving tomorrow or Saturday even though it was scheduled for Monday (my Time Capsule in the same order was a day early), but I'm flying to DC in the morning so I won't see it before Tuesday anyway! Nice to know it'll be waiting when I get home though. I'll set it up Tuesday morning and then let the Time Machine/Capsule first backup run while I go to work.

OK - Anyone have the FedEx main distribution center sites?

I know Indy, Memphis? What else?

Hi All,
I just got off the phone with a very helpful customer service rep. at Fed Ex. I asked if I could change the delivery to pick up, so that I could just go to the local Fed Ex hub here in Seattle and pick up my computer first thing when it arrives. Anyway, I was told that this was impossible, until they try to deliver it at least once.

Instead of coming straight to Seattle, my package will first go to Memphis or Oakland. She couldn't know where it would go first.

The lady said that the contents of the flight were palatalized, so it will take it quite a while to clear customs, maybe by tomorrow (ouch). The soonest I can expect my i7 w/8gb ram is going to be on Monday, maybe later (double ouch).

I'm just going to sit tight for now. Those in the Memphis or Oakland might still see something on Sat. if all goes well.

At least we have machines on US soil. Some people's machines aren't even assembled yet.

Mine was on that fight as well. I live in Indy and hope the computer will get to me by tomorrow. If not i will try and go pick it up. I cant wait.

I'm trying to figure that out distribution things now. Now, I know Apple often uses Memphis as a hub, but I don't know if that's an Apple thing or what. From what I understand, these should skip the Apple sorting process and go straight to customers? Right?

On hold with FedEx now.

Nikonglass seems to have gotten a hold of a good rep, let's hope by some stroke of luck they actually get through customs today.

Still on hold, but I found this online:
http://www.fedexfreight.fedex.com/distribution_map.jsp

Not sure what centers do what, but if you click on them, you can see that certain hubs have more options than others. Trying to figure out the route from Anchorage elsewhere.

My other question is will these be reloaded back onto the same fedex plane and will we have the same flight number? No. That doesn't make sense.

I'm in Illinois.

OK, my FedEx person was thoroughly amused at the whole situation (I explained that people on the Internet are trying to crowdsource flight tracking) but she didn't have any more information and said she wouldn't know anything about hubs until after they get through customs.

Incidentally, my status just changed to International Shipment Release -- not sure what that means.

I'm in Indiana and mine changed flights when it shipped through Alaska. Just check your FedEx tracking site and use the times on it to match up with flights leaving Anchorage. You'll find the one.

That means it cleared customs. Mine sat for about 8 hours before it took off for Indianapolis.

I have a Fed Ex account and checked and see that the "Service" is FedEx International Priority DirectDistribution

Whether this will change my delivery date to 11/13 is up in the air since it was shipped on 11/10 and Priority would indicate two day at the most? I would be surprised if it did not go to Memphis, and if early enough catch a flight into Las Vegas for delivery tomorrow morning.

Been a lurker, but finally had to sign up to participate in this i7 iMac party! Mine was on Flight 84.. last update is the Int'l shipment release as of 11/12/09 at 8:14 PM (local scan time).

Waiting with anticipation like all of you!

Another flight 84 watcher here, coming to Texas, expected delivery 11/16...

With this service level, would Fedex even attempt delivery on a Saturday?

I asked an apple rep this yesterday and they said that its not in their contract with FedEx to deliver on Saturdays. I doubt it but we can all hope.

Saturday is a special handling and extra charges. I doubt anyone will get Saturday delivery of their iMac...
