If you have the need to run apps that require mouse inputs . . . you already know that there's a platform for that. Along with optical drives, usb/firewire, wired ethernet, audio in, DVI out . . . ;)

Lack of mouse support wouldn't stop me from picking on up, and isn't something that I'd ever use a whole lot. There are a few occasions where I could travel light and not lug a laptop with me and it would be convenient. Since they didn't mention it, I'm not holding my breath.

This could become my work laptop if I could use a mouse and the Citrix Receiver iPhone application...

There are reasons why mouse support would be nice, but it would have to be application specific, not OS wide for EVERY APP, for the reasons you and others are saying...

Good point - VNC would be enhanced considerably with mouse input.
