My oldest is a clamshell 300Mhz G3, run Mac OS X 10.2 with 192MB RAM, runs great.

Also have an iMac G3 333, which I upgrade the RAM to 512, run wonderful with MacOS X 10.2

Next is an iMac G3 350, with 1 GB RAM, this machine flys, going to put in an 7200RPM drive in to increase performance and disk size.

Then it is a PowerBook G4 1.5 with 1.25GB of ram, it currently out for a new HD, will have it back tomorrow, that one place AA.

Then my most aging, and it is feeling it age, is an iMac ICD 2.0, with 1GHz it does not play AA(americas Army) well (game is powerPC) so it sucks. Also missing so many small internet plugins, and most software I run on it is unstable from the PowerPC, like photoshop elements 2.0, struggles loading with out hanging.

I sure do miss PowerPC, G5 has fast FSB clock at 50% processor, wow it was a great Processor.

Waiting on a CD / 2 *CD PowerMac to come out with 64bit, needs to be running about 2.8 GHz before I buy, so I just sitting with my cash, and I am waiting.

I mean, why would any one need to fill up a 100MB hard drive is beyond me! ;)

Does anyone recall the game 'Hellcats over the Pacific'? Many a wasted hour on that one! or even Maelstrom?

My oldest Mac in use is a Color Classic running OS 7.5.3.

It's not a Mac but I also have an Apple IIGS running GS/OS 5, mainly for playing old games and teaching the kids BASIC.

7.5.2 runs fine on my PB 150. I still check docs in ClarisWorks every once in a great while.

I play the original Hellcats on my Quadra 950 and PowerBook 2300c and play the Leyte Gulf missions on my 8100 and 3400c (playing both on the same system messes up the settings). I Also play WarBirds (based on the original Hellcats engine) on my iMac.

I spend about 5 hours a week playing some version of Hellcats, and I have a pretty good kill ratio (about 45:1, when talking about losing planes not pilots).

The best part of Leyte Gulf is that the carrier (Intrepid CV-11) is able to move... which makes landing even more interesting in some missions (specially if it makes a turn as you're on approach). I only play carrier based games in WarBirds too, and the carrier (Enterprise CV-6 in that game) also moves and turns.

While I like the F6F Hellcat in Hellcats, I tend to fly the FM-2 Wildcat (a later version of the F4F Wildcat with a much stronger engine introduced towards the end of WWII).

The original manual that came with Hellcats Over the Pacific was great! The manual was your key (the second half) but was also the original manual for the F6F-3N/F6F-5N Hellcat (first half). When Graphic Simulations replaced my original game floppy back in 1999, I no longer needed the manual, but kept it just because it was really cool!

I can't even imagine how many hours I've spent playing Hellcats since I bought the game back in 1991.

Racer X its a shame we dont have a Mac version of IL2 /Pacific Fighters. Really a great simulator with all aircraft from WWII. Soon though with the new Macs everyone will have access to these titles.

If it is a Windows game, then not everyone (some of us can't use Microsoft products).

I've got a pair of Mac Pluses. They're not exactly "running" but they're useful nonetheless...

next comp will be the Macbook as soon as they come out

Same here, I am waiting patiently (or perhaps rather impatiently) for the MacBook to be released so I can replace my iBook G4 with one.
