Well, summer's coming to a close now that March has finally rolled around. It wasn't as brutally hot as last year but very humid here and it was a killer bushfire season with an area roughly the size of Northern Ireland burnt out of Victoria.
So for us down here the end of summer brings a great deal of relief. Our beaches are now patrolled year-round so the loss of summer doesn't mean we stop going swimming.
This winter I'm heading down south to the Snowy Mountains for some skiing (hopefully we get a good season seeing as last year was the worst on record) and just generally enjoying the inherent comfort of the cooler weather.
Might head up to visit the folks in April/May to see the changing leaves and get some pickies while I'm there.
I'll be getting out more in the cooler months, exercising more now that the oppressive heat is on the wane, getting in shape for a big assault on the mountains and hopefully starting work selling Macs to make enough money to venture to Europe/East Coast USA late next year.
