Live my life. I work in a region where people drive $100K cars and multimillion dollar homes. They don't care and I'm not seeking their attention.

I got work to do. The X will be my 8th phone. I had 11 until I sold off four of them recently. I will probably charge it first. Then the apps I have on the SE. Put my music on there. Swap sims. Use it.

In all honesty, I'm not even a huge fan of the design. But it's going to replace my LG G5 as my main phone. And my G5 (Oct 6) isn't even a month old yet. And while its $350 more than my Pixel, it definitely is superior to it.

Pixel - $650
iPhone X - $1000

X is close to same height/width, water/dust resistance, 0.8 bigger screen, better design, wireless charging, gesture controls, and Telephoto. Just a better phone, period.

I carry at least two phones, so I guess it's my iPhone SE-X duo for work.

iPhone X (phone), left holster
iPhone SE (GPS), right holster
Moto E (GPS), car

I can already imagine some cashiers where I pick up food will ask me about it or whatever but I usually use my SE to show them the order.

Whichever phone has a sim becomes like my pocket Wi-Fi / Wi-Fi hotspot. One phone per day is not enough to DoorDash, Postmates, UberEats, or GrubHub for me. I need to carry a minimum of two.

My LG phones will be mostly home now which benefits them. It means better longevity since I won't drain their batteries every single day. I can drain two phones down to 0-15% because of tethering and GPS.

SE-X for work! ;)

Android for pleasure.

Android is better for media playback for me anyway. This X could be my last iPhone for this decade. My next phone after this is likely Android. I'm more of an Android but with a heart.

Android is complicated like Jaime Lannister! I like that. Unpredictable. Lose a hand, gain a heart... ;)

Been playing horse racing since I was 15 when I wasn't legal enough to bet it. I just had my late-grandfather bet for me. Breeders' Cup Classic is this Saturday. So even if I got the X whether this Fri or whenever, I probably don't have time to think about it. Life keeps moving.

Going to bet $100 on a horse who is 5-1. Try to make a $500 profit. If I win, my X is now 50% off. If I get the X this Fri, I will watch Ragnarok right after. Then gamble the next day at Los Alamitos. I hate driving down to Del Mar. Small track and so crowded.

Always find things to do.

Interesting take. Wasn’t as frantic as you make it seem. Got up and refreshed maybe 3-5 times then placed an order and went to sleep. Some of us want a new phone without having to wait. It’s really not a big deal to all of us.
I think you missed his point.

Im going to set it up at the apple store and then head to a few galleries/parks in NYC.

1. Set up my iPhone shrine.
2. Make free-range, organic, artisanal, shade-grown, fair trade offerings to Apple and the technology gods.
3. Dance.

This is literally the 3rd time this thread has been posted asking the same thing. People are really trying to pass time.

I’m going straight home to beat the traffic rush hour. Set up my phone. Then I’m going to get everything ready to watch a fireworks display, where I’ll probably give the new cameras a test.
Somewhere in between that I’ll play around with the new features a bit. Then, as with every other iPhone I’ve ever bought, I’ll just get on with using it for what it is.

Oh, and probably try to get a moment to come on here to see the chaos with everyone loving/hating on the new toy.

Well, if I get my 11/3 pre order early enough. I’m going to take pictures of everyone waiting in line with it. And then I’m going to snake past, work my way inside of the store, provided I don’t get accosted along the way and snap facial expressions of those who got turned away.

Just kidding, of course. :D Karma is real

Actually, I will thank my lucky stars (can’t recall the last time I was able to get the launch day model of my choice) and just play with it.

Good luck to all of the line folks. I hope you get one this Friday. I’m sure that it will be worth the wait. ;)

I'm going to lick it.

Thanks for the laugh. I just about fell onto the floor.
