The Oasis album sleeve that you posted is wonderful. Very attractive, rather striking and reminiscent of some of the wonderful LP cover sleeve art (a regrettably lost art form to my mind) which used to adorn LP album sleeves before CDs made an appearance and rendered such art somewhat redundant.

Indeed ;) and the music compliments the sleeve well! I've currently been working on an album/ project for a while... and I'd like the sleeve to be something like that.

Great album! I love their music!

The Beatles- Abbey Road. Brings back memories of my senior year in high school.

After the 'White Album' (which I still consider to be their best album), 'Abbey Road' remains my favourite Beatles' album (with 'Sgt Pepper's' and 'Revolver' in a constant struggle vying for third place). Great stuff. I listened to it in the past week and remain very impressed by the whole album. Ageless, and classy.

And, for now, for your enjoyment and delectation, I put before you a true European classic from a few years ago; well, actually, from a few decades ago. This is a song I have always loved, even as a child; I loved the deceptively simple melody, and the bitter sweet lyrics, gritty - as I now know - with the artistic integrity of a lived life, as sung by the immortal Edith Piaf. The song, of course, is the unforgettable "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien". Sheer, unadulterated class.

Every year at this time TCM, a classic movie station, does a video showing the actors, directors, writers, critics and others in the film industry who died during the past year...a tribute they call "Remember".

This year the music over the pictures was the song "Sleeping At Last - In The Embers". I found it haunting and touching.
