Actually, for now, I will forego Baroque and - indeed - The Beatles.

A CD - 'Good Company" by The Dead South - which awaited me on my return home (recommended by two colleagues, one French, the other British) is what I am now listening to.

Thought bubble...... wouldn't it be cool to be able to shuffle albums in their entirety, instead of just being able to shuffle individual songs?

This LP is awesome. That is all.

Have you listened to Paul McCartney’s album “New”? I highly reminded that recording, it is amazing!

I haven’t but you inspired me. I’ve been passively leery of post 1990 ex-Beatle stuff, though I’ve heard good reviews.

I checked and my library lends digital copies of the album proper, a 14 song deluxe version and a 7 song EP(?). When I get home I’ll download the deluxe version and, while I’m at it, his collaboration with producer Niles (?) Godrich. I love his work with Travis, Radiohead, R.E.M. (on the aforementioned “Up”), and Beck.

I’ve opened the all glass doors and listening to the morning birds chatting up a storm. The damn blue jays (blue crows) could move along though.

i was listening to that after I posted your reply, and 3 songs grew on me, the album takes a few listening to realize how great and original Paul is. i think i got the cd at the library.

Probably my favorite band.

I'm a huge fan as well, always musically present as I grew up - saw them live just after they released their first EP, Chronic Town - I still remember how unique the sound was at the time, before the big Athens surge, in 80-82 I was listening to The Jam, The Clash, various punk (DK, Circle Jerks), my go to for prog (King Crimson, Genesis).

I hate that noise. Even with thick sound isolating windows their stupid chirping wakes me up at 4-5 in the morning. Sometimes I just want to load some blank shot and fire at a tree. I'm tempted to use an airhorn as a last measure.
