Ahh, too bad you missed the show(s). That would be really cool to see one in person.Great stuff. The season being what, and how, it is I've also been listening to more or less the same type of music lately; Carpenter Brut, Power Glove and Perturbator to name a few. What still irks me is that the times Carpenter Brut and Perturbator have played here I've managed to somehow miss their shows. All work and no play etc. etc.
Anyway, currently listening to The Sisters of Mercy while enjoying a bottle of wine a friend graciously brought over a while ago.

Not all of it is instrumental, but there is a good mix of both out there; vocals and instrumental. I actually prefer the instrumental stuff more because when I'm listening to it I can concentrate on what I'm working on a lot better.I can totally get into instrumental, techno where it's just a driving rhythm ...

Cranberries today.
Zombie probably being my favourite.Very good choice; the Cranberries made some timeless music.
Zombie probably being my favourite.
Also like Dreams and Linger.
I read the news today. Oh boy...
The lyric completely aside, right now the title feels like a dare, a rhetorical question, or a reminder to be careful what you wish for.
I've never heard of Sonic Youth before and queued up the album and track (Blink) you mentioned and I liked it. Now I'm sampling other tracks on the album and so far so good.Tonight for me it's Sonic Youth, The Destroyed Room. My favorite track might be Blink. I could swear they sampled a few bits here off a curve in the subway tracks, and some of the rest underwater while some outfit was trying to raise up the wreck of an old submarine. It's strangely calming though. Anyway it reminds me of NYC, which I still miss the most for some reason during autumn.
Well, @Mefisto, you reminded me of Nick Cave and that I haven't listened to any of his songs in a while.
And, thus, I give you: Where The Wild Roses Grow - by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
