I never "got" Lou Reed. Liked "Wild Side", bought The Blue Mask album and listened to it once.I used to really this LP.
I gave it a listen a while back and wondered why? lol.
It does have it's moments.
He was another polarizing character wasn't he?

My favorite tune from my first favorite band. One of the few vocal-centric bands that could do harmony vibrato in a good way (Kings X, Earth Wind & Fire are the only others I can think of (Steely Dan did on a few tracks, but they were all Michael McDonald, so that's a given)).Some old classics I love.....
Yes sir! This is the music that I also started on back in the early to mid 70's. These artists, along with The Beatles, Stones, Zep, and Kinks...are some of the musicians that started me on my long love relationship journey with music. I can't sit in front of a tv for more than an hour, and that's pushing it....but I can listen to music anytime, anywhere, for hours at a time. In fact, if music was the only source of entertainment available...I'd be fine with that. It is after all, my very favorite form of entertainment...to this day. TV is not even a close second, third, fourth, or fifth. If anything, it's more of a distraction. My favorite tune from my first favorite band. That was a big hit, at least in Canada. Carole Pope, the singer, was born in Manchester but she moved to Canada aged 5. Her sister Elaine was born in Montreal and was a writer and film producer. She wrote for Lily Tomlin and won an Emmy for writing an episode for Seinfeld.I've never heard this group before, but I love it...both versions. Thanks for sharing!😊
