Just got it and the display is great! No issues that I found. Speakers which aren’t high on my priority list are also indeed really good.

I have had one for a year or so and in terms of the screen it's very nice, but... it doesn't have the most even backlight. There is some darkening around the corners, particularly at low brightness. Not bad enough for me to be fussed about, but if the current bloom debates show me anything, it's that people can be very picky about their screens.

I have used it with a tempered glass screen protector and it's been great - no responsiveness issues. It's a Jetech brand if that's any help.
I am the worst at installing protectors, but can confirm the JETech tempered glass is awesome! Got the 2 pack and actually got it on the first try for the first time ever so it will be nice to have the 2nd as a backup in case this one gets scratched hard or god forbid i drop and crack it (Whole thing would probably just bend) the tape + hinge method was much easier for me than using one of those trays, I only got it a bit misaligned but it’s not enough to bother me. No air bubbles. The screen responsiveness is good still, and it’s nice and smooth! Oleophobic coating definitely does it’s job here. So thanks for the recommendation I have used JETech many times by now mainly cases and for the price I have never been let down with their products.
