Are you picking up a new phone for 2013? If so, what's your top 3 for consideration? If you don't have a top 3 because you already know what you want, then what is it? I'll be honest, no top 3 for me, I'm picking up a S4. I just don't see anyone making ground on the Galaxy S line. Now that the Note2 has come out with quad core and LTE, I really hope it's the same CPU for everyone this time. I feel having an Exynos chip is a big part of owing a Galaxy S phone. Fingers crossed.

I say it is too soon to say what the top 3 will be but as long as the Galaxy Note 3 has a 6+ inch screen and the same great battery life with a replacable battery, I will be buying it. Unless something really comes out from the left field, it is my current pick. With all the hype around the Galaxy S4, I am sure it will do well too. I think Google might have something special later in the year. Something with Motorola and perhaps its own wireless network.

Well, it's 2013. I'm torn between grabbing a Note 2 now or waiting for the S4. My 3rd pick would be the Sony Xperia Z.

S4, Note3, and Nexus 5 will be my top phones for 2012.

This. And it's coming from an iPhone user but I'm not eligible for an upgrade until September. I'm really interested to see if this 440 ppi from samsung is real.

Well, I've already used an iP5 (in a drawer), Nexus 4 (sold), and now a Galaxy Note 2 (day 2) this year so I've likely hit my phone quota for quite a while or risk the wrath of my better half. ;)

That being said I am also curious what the S4 will bring to the table and really like using vanilla Android (loved the design of the Nexus 4, just couldn't live with the inferior battery life, poor camera, and missed LTE too much) so I'm most looking forward to the next Nexus.

And I'll admit it...I'll always be curious to see what Apple does next, just not very optimistic they'll impress me anymore.

I believe your upgrade in September will be well worth the wait. Right around the time for the Nexus 5, Note3, and the Snapdragon 800 chip! The iPhone is great, but Apple seriously needs to do something different. I'm finding that people don't want more of the same. I just helped a longtime iPhone user migrate over to the Note2, and I'm about to help my mom do the same. Everyone likes the form factor/bigger screen of my S3.

In no particular order Samsung Galaxy S4, Nexus 5 and the new iPhone, I'm hoping that Apple come out with a phone that is completely different and knocks everything out of the park.

I'll definitely consider the next iPhone if there are significant changes in iOS 7. A part of me does miss iOS.

That would be great since it would save me the aggravation of learning a new OS (Android). I'm not too optimistic, though.

If you really are interested in something new, android is not a complicated OS. The major difference is that instead of an open app drawer you go to an app icon that takes you to an open app drawer. Everything else you can learn in a half hour easily.

What are your top 3 phones for 2013

I'm upgrade eligible this year and I'm eagerly awaiting to see what the next iPhone, the Galaxy S4, and the Motorola/Google X phone bring to the table. I would be excited about the next Nexus too, but Google seems to have abandoned Verizon (CDMA/LTE) customers in their Nexus handset business model now.

You mean 2013, if so i agree :) I won't lie, i am interested to see if Apple can recapture my interest but it would require a complete redesign of ios and a larger screen, so im very doubtful. If Apples next phone is a 5s with the same dull upgrades as the last few years i will laugh.

this relates well to the lack of iphone 5 part orders... it also says a lot when members of an apple community prefer alternative phones.

I personally have an iPhone 5, love the phone but im on the edge of jailbreaking. Never been a fan of the galaxy range until the S3, but its just far to big and just like the note range is just ridiculously big for phones. But with samsung releasing the S3 mini, well now... thats samsung using the initiative that apple should have used. If i didnt have my 5, i would have that mini

Galaxy S4 or Nexus5 I am waiting for, but I am sure the Galaxy S4 will blow me away.

4,99" 1080p Screen, and a much better battery (Samsung announced them at CES), an I am done.

Man I'd love to see a 1080p 4.5" iPhone 6 this year - make all the people predicting their demise crap themselves....

Given I just got my iPhone 5, I'll be looking to replace my work phone (off-contract and cheaply) - have been looking at a Nexus 4, though by the time they are available I may be looking at a Nexus 5!

As for my personal phone I do have an upgrade coming in September - if Apple does a double release this year - 5S in the spring/early summer and 6 in the fall/early winter, I'll probably go for the 6 - depending what it looks like.

Perfectly content with my iP5 now - Google, get your **** together so I can buy an N4 to replace this 4S!
