the top 3 for 2013 will probably be, in no particular order, the S4, Note 3, and 5S.

You mean 2013, if so i agree :) I won't lie, i am interested to see if Apple can recapture my interest but it would require a complete redesign of ios and a larger screen, so im very doubtful. If Apples next phone is a 5s with the same dull upgrades as the last few years i will laugh.

Haha yeah sorry 2013, boy is time flying by! But yeah if the iPhone 5(S) is the iPhone 5 with increased internal specs, it will be a sad day for Apple. It's not like Jony Ive can't innovate, it's almost like he's content with a smaller screen on the iPhone. Maybe the sales of the Galaxy S3 will be a wake up call for Apple.

I'll definitely consider the next iPhone if there are significant changes in iOS 7. A part of me does miss iOS.

Hey 3bs! You're on xda too, we chatted about PA for a couple posts. Nice lol.

I'm the same as you though, a part of me will always like iOS, but it definitely is starting to be on the stale side. It needs something to make it fresh again, and for me, Android (at least on the N4) does the trick to make me happy with my mobile device again. If iOS7 can bring some awesome things, then another iPhone may be in my future.

Man I'd love to see a 1080p 4.5" iPhone 6 this year - make all the people predicting their demise crap themselves....

I don't think that would make anyone "crap themselves". By the time they release their next iPhone, that will already be a standard for high-end smartphones anyway. In 2013, I expect a high-end smartphone to have a 1080p display, or 720p at the very least. If Apple were to do that, it would once again be nothing more than catch up.

When all these people say iphone 6 completely new and revamped, was the s2 - s3 a complete revamp? No it wasn't, it had the same minor cosmetic changes that the iphone 5 had. Same layout phone just slightly bigger and a slight exterior improvement

The Score of choice should almost be by age groups -

Some of in the 50 something group are tired of fighting the limitations of the system.
This is the group that started out on BlackBerry - now iPhone.
I see a huge swing heading back to basics - The larger SIII or what ever is next.
No limit of what you want to beam up to the device at will.

Sorry - I've said it earlier - the live demo of the SIII at Verizon blew me away last nite.
Total Freedom - I want it back. Too much is changing not to take advantage.

The 'No - You can't do that - ends right here.

Xperia z looks nice and making it waterproof was a nice touch.

Too early to say what the S4 will be like so it's pointless saying that will be in your top 3.

Also don't forget that Samsung wasn't anything special until it brought out the galaxy S. Another company could quite easily bring out a star this year!

I want to see where MSFT, Nokia and HTC go with WinPho this year. It's a great looking OS and Nokia have quietly been delivering a very slick experience on phones you can grab SIM free for as little as £100; Android struggles to achieve that. I've no concrete plans but may pick up a second user 4S for use with a local SIM while travelling.

Probably the next Nexus phone, or if Google do release their own device and it has Stock Android, I'll definately look into that.

I rarely keep track of people's names on there, is yours the same on there too? :p

I'm surprised no one is talking about this: http://www.androidauthority.com/nex...cs-features-and-prices-leaked-already-147343/

Nexus 5 and Nexus 7.7 (<-- what a silly name) may be coming from LG later this year.

I don't have any faith in LG after the Nexus 4. My phone is fine (for the most part) but lack of supply means a lot people can't get it and less people working on developing for it. I hope it's not true and the next Nexus goes back to Samsung or someone who will do a better job than LG.

Not sure what your point is supposed to be... Nobody ever claimed the GS3 was a complete revamp. That said, while it wasn't a major overhaul, it did encompass several ostensible differences from the previous generation (and it was not limited to "minor cosmetic". As for cosmetic, the GS2 and GS3 neither look nor feel anything alike. Regarding features, the GS3 shipped with features the GS2 did not. A few off the top of my head would be S-Beam, S Voice, Pop up video, and Smart Stay just to name a few. Also, don't forget, it went from a lower resolution to a high definition display. Then add to that, you got 2gb of RAM, which makes multitasking a breeze. So while no, there were no insanely huge upgrades, the GS3 was a plethora of improvements culminating in an overall better phone.

The real question is will people spring to get the N5 based on how bad google/LG botched this launch
