What is this Automator action you mention? I downloaded the app and don't see anything like that anywhere. It has me intrigued.
Oh, sorry man. Automator is a tweak you can install after you jailbreak your iPhone or iPad. It allows you to assign certain things to certain other things.

For instance, I have reassigned my home button to Lock my iPhone from the homescreen and to Unlock my iPhone from the lockscreen. If I hold my Power button in my Activator action set for that turns my flash on so I can use the phone as a flashlight.

Activator is one of those basic tweaks in Cydia (the app store for jailbreak) that's seriously stable and reliable and it's been around for years.

Sorry to mislead…

Oh haha. That's a good idea....
I'll have to check that one out

Just interested, why? Whats so bad about it?
On my PowerPC Mac:

  • Outdated
  • Loads content, says X items remaining then changes it's mind and loads more items
  • Pretty much never completes loading a page, damn status bar sits there just saying "Loading…"
  • Consistent, reproducible "Slow script" errors on just about any Google site which causes SBBOD for a very long time
  • Cannot theme it
  • Top Sites is NOT a replacement for a Fast Dial
  • My outdated version does not support the extensions I wish to use
On my iPhone:

  • Non-intuiative for me
  • No Fast Dial
  • I just hate the interface
TenFourFox is what I use on my Macs and Dolphin is what I use on my iPhone. I now know that Dolphin is Webkit, but I like it's interface better.

You don't use intel Macs?

You don't use intel Macs?
I have one Intel Mac, but it's not mine and it was only purchased by my boss for work last year and is only available to me when I'm at work. Until 2013 every Mac around me was PowerPC. All the other Macs at work are G4s and G5s (we are a weekly newspaper).

For me it was a matter of price when one of my Macs died in late 2009. Later on it became a matter of pride in making old Macs continue to be useful (used Intel Macs are still mostly out of my price range). At some point I will be getting an Intel Mac but mainly because it will be necessary for one thing or another.

But for most things these Macs still work. I'm typing this message on a dual 1.73Ghz PowerMac G4 Quicksilver using TenFourFox 24, the equivalent of Firefox 24, on Leopard 10.5.8. It works pretty well for that still. :D

Uhh Safari is the best browser

If it was the best browser, why did the abandon it on pcs?

I use Chrome. Why? Fast/Stable/ Use it on iphone, mac, ipad, windows pc. Can log in, have all my bookmarkers synced between each device, remembers what windows i had open on each advice.
Far superior on multiple devices than safari.

Because Apple doesn't invest heavily in the PC world given that it's its competition?

It's a completely different game on iOS where the other browsers outside of Safari simply don't get the benefit of a powerful JavaScript engine that is only there for Safari.

Matter of opinion.

Safari can't do this on Mac…FTDeepdark theme, Stylish with a Facebook theme, All In One Sidebar, FoxClocks, Tabs on bottom with only a thumbnail, speed dial, etc, etc.
And where are Safari's speed dials on iOS?

Incidentally, I'm jailbroken so Dolphin is using Safari's JS engine.

Best for you maybe, but not for me.
