the one thing I can't figure out and maybe you can help me, I can't download files with samsung internet. I have to go to Chrome to do that. Is there a setting in the browser or maybe adguard that I'm missing?
It should just download, it usually has a little pop up that appears for a few seconds that says 'Downloading'.

What does it do when you try to download?

It's funny, as "open" as Android is, you still can't do this on Chrome for Android. Yes, there are other chrome-like apps you can download, but I do wish I could activate adblock on Chrome for Android. At least on the GS8, you can utilize Adhell which does more of a system wide adblocking.
The Samsung Web Browser allows AdBlocking, get AdBlock Fast for it ;)

Glad I could help.

Like earlier mentioned in this topic, I am also using the stock Samsung Internet Browser (Beta) on my S8, along with Disconnect Pro from the Galaxy app Store, to block adds.

Do you also have Disconnect Pro or Adhell on your S8? And are you using an adblocker on top of it??

I am trying to figure out which results in the fastest browser experience. Just AdHell/Disconnect Pro or AdHell/Disconnect Pro AND a browser adblocker on top of it

edit: now I am not sure you even have the new S8(+). My apologies ;)

I have the S8 Plus. Moved from the iPhone 7 Plus. I don't really use any adblockers, though. Any time I put one on, I end up disabling it because I don't feel right about using them.

Not judging you, but I judge me.

Chrome on every device. I lose the Adblock but that website sync is irreplaceable
There's an iCloud sync extension for both Firefox and Chrome (Windows versions) that syncs your Safari bookmarks with them. Dunno what kind of devices you're running, but it's been working really well for me.

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
Safari with the Crystal ad blocker, I've found that combo to be by FAAAARRRRRRRR the best mobile browsing experience. On Android everything I've tried pales by comparison as it's slow and full of ads. But Dolphin seems to be the least painful or Opera.

says it can't download attachment. regardless of what it is. But I'll have to try again as I haven't tried in a few days.

EDIT: seems to be working, at least on a random website I tried.
