It is not out yet. As I said, it is out to Plus program members and those that preordered on Thanksgiving week. So all my opinions are extrapolated from the previous version. The current version is stable as a rock and has lots of features. As for comparing to Aperture.......I would have to still have and use it to make such a comparison. Why not do the free trial and see if you like it? https://www.on1.com/dl/13/

Just remember that you first need to migrate from managed library to a referenced one using file system folders before you plan to migrate other DAM/editors.
Ok, tried the software last night and I actually liked it. The only thing I didn't like (and I'm sure there is a way around) is that everytime you switch to effects, tweaks etc. it asks you if you wanna create a copy so I now have 3x psd files and each are around 500MB. A bit steep :D :D :D
Anyway, I'm sure there is a way to have just one thing and compare between NEF and tweaked version without constantly creating new ones. (without having the window there as that lets you later work on the master copy)

But It seems like its loaded with features so I can't wait to test drive the RAW one once its out. I might actually ditch Aperture.
In fact, I tried a test last night. I took same RAW photo and edited in Aperture, Lightroom and ON1 and so far I've managed to get the best result from ON1. Those presets etc. really help (maybe I would achieve the same thing in all of them but ON1 seemed easier. LR I'm new so have to be fair here and Aperture I use mainly but didn't want to spend ages brushing stuff in&out.

Well, anyone else has some experience that would like to share?

P.s.: ON1 is not very speedy though, the UI is a bit laggy.

That's what I found as well and I basically put the trial down because of that.

There was some nice features to be sure and maybe the Photo Raw will be different.

I have been using LR and ON1 Photo 10 for a while now - after leaving Aperture. LR is great, but it gets a bit cumbersome. Round trips to other apps for editing can cause issues. I've decided to leave LR behind and stay with ON1.

As @Freida mentioned, the current version of ON1 does make copies (only one is really needed), but the new RAW will do like LR does and make edits on the raw file and keep them in a sidecar file. I've gotten to the point of having the original raw file and an edit copy version as a jpeg/tiff.
