What case is everyone getting for the XR?

I know we have a month away from the XR being released but what’s everyone getting? I took advantage of Amazon’s sale and got three cases for the XR for my husband.
The three cases shown are Caseology cases. The prices were only $1.40-$4.20! I couldn’t pass that up! They are really well made too, feels protected from a fall. And I still can’t believe the prices!

I'm gonna have to get a clear case, part of the appeal of the XR for me is the colours!

Added a casetify case. It’s not bulky and feels like it can handle a drop.

I don’t know what I’ll ultimately use but I got two cases under $3 via Slickdeals coupon codes on Amazon. One was a purple Caseology Wavelength for $2.80. Normally $13.

The other was SKYLMW which sounds more like a coupon code than a brand name and it is clear with smoky bumper. That was $2.04 with the coupon. It’s normally around $12.

I usually go through Slickdeals to get my cases for $5 or less. They often offer coupons for good brands. I didn’t even join or give them any data. I just open their site on my browser and enter iPhone XR Case as my search parameter and additionally filter for Amazon deals and then save it to my home screen and periodically click and refresh the page to look for new deals.

I used to buy Apple silicone cases because I like the suedelike lining to protect the finish on my phones. But recently these cases all have crumbled on the edges even without me doing something obviously bad like dropping the phone. Some stain easily. But similar cheaper silicone cases I got from Amazon didn’t stain. So I don’t know if I will keep buying Apple silicone cases anymore. I never had one of their leather cases for any length of time.

I would like to go clear cased for my XR.

I am looking at Spigen cases. I have Spigen Tough Armor cases now for our phones and they have been excellent. My wife wants a clear one to showcase the color of her XR. I plan on purchasing a black one so I will end up with a black case. I am purchasing glass screen protectors as well. I will probably purchase the Spigen case and screen protectors from Spigen to ensure a good fit. I have heard that cases and screen protectors from different companies do not always fit well. The other issue I am concerned about is the yellowing of a clear case.

I have had mixed results with Spigen, as recent as last year. They are fine new, assuming the fit is tight. But they just wear out far more quickly than other cases that I've used (minus Apple's Silicone Case, which is the flimsiest case that I've used).

My wife loves her Spigen Flip Armor so she can hold credit cards. However, a) they don't seem to have it for the iPhone XR and b) she wants the Product (RED) XR and doesn't want it all covered up with a case.

So we're torn looking for something that will allow her to enjoy the RED iPhone as well as hold her DL, CC, and MetroCard.

I wonder why no one here seems to be speculating about what Apple might do in terms of XR cases. Remember the 5C cases with the holes in them, so you could still see the colors? It’s not that I would be particularly intrigued by those, but maybe something similar is coming ..

Gawd... the holy cases... I hope not! Mind, I do find it odd that for weeks we’ve been able to see the Xr in the App Store. The only thing missing is the “buy” button.

But the cases - nothing. If Apple are doing cases why can’t we all see them now?

Exactly. It’s not like it’s so difficult to make cases that fit the XR. So it might just be they have a surprise coming.
[doublepost=1538776672][/doublepost]... could be they are thinking of this as a lifestyle thing. With each buyer customizing their individual XR look by combining a specific phone color with a specific case color. A bit like they did with the Apple Watch.

They have lighting earbuds that match the XR colors and their entry on the store says “coming soon” but so far they’re keeping XR cases under wraps.

At any rate I have cheap clear cases and one purple one coming to me courtesy of Slick deals so at least the phone will have something to protect it if I can’t get an apple case for some reason or don’t want to.

I absolutely love my Spigen Flip Armor case. I get so many comments about it and I'm super upset they only made/make it for the 7. I just ordered the XR version and I just don't think it's going to be nearly as good.

I got a Ringke onyx and paid 4 dollars for it. This is my "heavy duty" option.

Also got a Kavaj Tokyo in black leather. They just refreshed the design in this iteration, the edges used to be more exposed (which I preferred tbh). I literally buy a Kavaj case for every iPhone I buy. I like them so much and I don't know why there's not more talk about them. They're inexpensive and the customer service is great if you have a problem. Highly recommended.

I want to get a Nomad rugged leather case when I can find a deal.

Quite similar. The horween leather feels a little more natural though. The Nomad may seem a bit bulkier than Apple, but that’s hard to say given there’s no direct comparison.

Had originally planned to get a black XR. So I ordered a Ringke Onyx. Nice case and similar to the Spigen Rugged Armor I have run on three different phones.
