... if he does use one :D
I was just wondering. Any insider's insight?

Those emails he has sent have been from iPad and iPhone so he uses them at least. About actual computers, I don't know. I would guess he is iMac + MacBook Pro/Air guy

I would seriously doubt he spends much time using a computer. He might have a MacBook Air (1st generation) but probably has moved to an iPad + his iPhone.

I remember reading some years ago that Michael Dell had a top-of-the-line Dell Dimension with a pair of top-of-the-line LCD monitors. But I bet he didn't use it much either.

I think its either gonna be one of two things:

1. Something ultra high spec, possibly even some sort of custom job or protype direct from the Apple workshop.
2. He really buys into the whole "magical" thing and works just from an iPad

I know he used to use a 17" powerbook, but unless he's still got the only powerbook G5, he's probably upgraded to a macbook pro 17". It wouldn't surprise me if he had one of each mac though and rotated through them though.
He probably also uses some of the prototypes of the next generation computers to make sure they meet his standards.

A little over a year back, I've seen him use a MacBook Pro. It think it was the 15".

This. He probably spends a lot of his computer time testing out the new prototypes. Other than that, he probably has a top of the line iMac and a 15" top of the line MBP.

When he was in the hospital when that story first broke out he used a 17" MBP (or whatever top end 17" Mac laptop was out at that time) to send an email out telling everyone what happened. There was a story here on MR about it.

I remember a series of black and white photos taken of Jobs at his house three of four years back. Of course, I can't find these now. A couple were taken in his study and showed a large Apple monitor, which would suggest a Pro or a Mini. I somehow doubt he'd settle for a Mini though.

Because large Apple monitors only work with Pro's and Mini's?
