picked up 256 cd binder at compusa 9.99
picked a big old stack of dvds and cds for something really small at bestbuy

that was the only thing i really needed. wish i could have got an HDTV though. maybe after i put hardwood floors in the house the wife will let me get one.

I went to work, but I sent someone to do my dirty work. My plot, show them something they want badly that is $40 off and then make a list.
He bought 5 lego millennium falcons. Two to keep for him and another person and three to sell. I had listed a DVD player $25 for my sister and then a few DVDs: Kicking and Screaming, Shark Tale, The Interpreter, Family Guy Stewie Griffin the untold story (or whatever it was) and one other DVD I can't seem to recall just yet. Those DVDs are mine.
Today I bought Dare Devil director's cut (yes I am one of the 10 people in america that liked it). I bought the gorilla attack hot wheels playset for my nephew along with the shark play set (hotwheels) for him. I bought the mega blocks f-51, plane etc etc set---it's like 3 lego things all in one for the boyfriend---he's really too old for this but if he'll buy me shark tale then I guess I'll buy him lego. I bought a barbie--for the toy drive at work. And I bought a beach cruiser bike for my other nephew. I am about 1/10000th the way done with xmas! Totally unlike me.
I for one wouldn't be caught dead at a black friday sale. I am not one for crowds and I don't care about saving money THAT much! I'd prefer sleeping.

Saw the Best Buy ad and noticed that they had the first three seasons of "The shield" for 19.99 each (normally 35-45 each) . I already had 1 and 2. On a whim I went to BB after dinner (9 PM) to see if they had any left. I got the last one of season 3.

For these DVD specials, if you can come late in the day like you did, these can rock Two years I ago I arrives at 10 or 11AM at the Sterling VA Best Buy to get some of the DVD specials. I walked out after seeing the line to the register snake around the outside edges of their "track" AND up and down a couple of aisles.

In the end I went to the Apple Store at Tysons to get my yearly update to .Mac. I also picked up the Mighty Mouse. At 10:30AM I finally made my way over to LNT for the iHome for the iPod. They were O/S, but did give me a rain-check for the $69 price! LNT rocks!

Didn't buy a thing all day...

... until 11:30pm and then I broke down and ordered a 12" iBook. I used the MASSIVE CDN$101 saving on the 80Gb drive upgrade.

Unfortunately we don't seem to get any Amazon rebates or iBook Apple refurbs in Canada - none that I've seen - so this seemed a good deal.

Hey cjc, where'd you find that 300GB HD deal? I'm aching for more space

I think I mis-stated the price, they were $70 each after rebates... I went to Fry's Electronics for everything I got. The only way it was possible was that I went shopping with someone else and he got on line about 10 minutes after we got there, and then we switched off standing in line and finding stuff for the next two hours :p

I took part in the national buy nothing day, and so I didn't go shopping, and didn't order anything online. Didn't know about the day until they announced it over the Heart Of Texas Freecycle reflector. Maybe more people should take part in this day, and make use of things they already have? We are just a disposable society.

26" LCD HDTV from Circuit City. As the employee was opening the store, someone yelled, "CHARGE!" and we all rushed in.

Even after rebates, it's worth it. Also, I forgot to mention the $20 I put in my gas tank, at $1.98 a gallon. That got me just over 3/4 of a tank, which will hopefully last until Thursday.
