... there's an old ashtray containing...
A dinosaur tooth.
Coins (1595 - 1966).
A 1970s yo-yo.
Animatronic eyes.
A WWI cigarette lighter.

Pretty random. OR IS IT?!!! :D

So that's a collection, of sorts, I guess. Or maybe an eclection. ;)

I've recently began collecting vintage Canon 35mm cameras. So far I have collected the following from eBay:

  • Canon AE-1
  • Canon AE-1 Program
  • Canon A-1
  • Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 lens
  • Canon FD 135mm f/3.5 lens
  • Canon Speedlite 199A

I am in the process of having them repaired/restored by a specialist and plan to fully use them in the field. Film is not dead!

Pictured below is the AE-1 Program with a Sears 70-200mm lens attached (which I'll re-sell). Sitting next to it is a Sears 28mm lens (which I'll also re-sell), the Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens, and a cheap Sunpak flash unit (which I'll also re-sell). Most of these eBay auctions include third-party lenses and accessories which I'm not currently interested in.

I've actually begun selling off my few collections. The first one to go was my collection of wrestling action figures, this is what's left...

WWEFigures.jpg

At one point the company that held the license for WWE figures produced some higher quality figures. These are the ones I kept.

I also have one Buffy figure, the Glory maquette.

I do still have a hefty comic book collection, but that's only because you really can't sell one nowadays & expect reasonable prices. Remember anyone who ever tells you what something's worth, it's an actuality probably what it's worth to them, not what some will really pay.

I collect mostly instructional books. There always seems to be something id like to learn. My interests are expanding as well so its not all programming books or electronics.

Pretty dark and blurry picture, sorry for that.

I've been a fan since I was three, and started collecting in 2005. I love these guys, and have lots more that I had to box since I am running out of room. I have statues and model kits as well, they are on display near my desk. Will post pictures of that if I can sometime in the future.

Film is not dead!

Yes, it is. Just as Latin is a dead language. Photography with film is a hobby, and if you're not processing the films yourself - most likely you're just being pretentious. Considering what you've bought, you're probably not though ;)
