iOS What do you do for a living (while developing applications for iPhone)?

I'm a senior research scientist in Boeing's Math / Computing R&D center (my Ph.D. is in Computer Science). We have a homegrown 3D CAD visualization application we use for looking at the design of an entire aircraft and it is being used more heavily for helping with assembly and test on the factory floor. A coworker of mine and I just demo'ed our first prototype of using mobile devices (iPhone, Windows Mobile 6.1) as 3D navigation/ object selection & manipulation controllers for the above application (and a few other capabilities our lawyers won't let me talk about).

I work as a Youth Pastor for my career and I love it. I started developing apps for the iPhone as a hobby on the side with my main hope being to make back the money I invested in learning and paying to be a developer. And of course I would love some extra money to be generated from an app on the app store. I'm beta testing one app right now and am a few days from submitting it to apple.

I'm a system analyst for a hospital. I work from home and have a ton of downtown, so I use that time to write iPhone applications.

I figured out a way to make money while I'm working.
