My phone gets very grimy. The included cloth isn't good enough, nor is a t-shirt. Doesn't get all the grime off.

I highly recommend this: http://www.amazon.com/3M-Microfiber-Cleaning-Cloth-Color/dp/B00009PSZ2

I wipe it down once a day when I wake up. Just make to blow any dust off the screen and cloth before wiping. All it takes is one piece of sand to scratch your shiny new phone.

Same here. Works pretty well. :)

Works awesome!

I use the Zeiss lens cleaning cloths they sell at Sams Club. 90 or so in a box for a couple of bucks. Works fantastically.

I just use the little cleaning cloth my iPod Touch came with. It works fine, I moisten it with some iKlear as well.

I just used alcohol wipes and/or windex on my 3G. Now with my 3GS I use windex or just my t-shirt or my pants...seems to work with ease.

You are not supposed to use Windex or any cleaning product, especially those with alchohol, on the iPhone's screen. Tisk Tisk.

Microfiber cloths FTW.

Spit and the bottom of my shirt.

I haz invisible shield so good 'ole spit and the bottom of my shirt, pant leg, wife's shirt, kids sleeve, whatever is close by.

I might even use some of that new fangled h20 to wipe the screen, but hell, down here in the south, a little spit never hirt nobody.

my pocket. the 3gs's screen doesn't need heavy cleaning. i just pop it back in my pocket after use and pretty much every time i take it back out its looking smudge free.

This question seems to come up now and again, and aside from the perhaps funny answers, there still seems to be a difference of opinion.

Is the screen actual glass, or is it a glass-like material? In my mind, that would tell whether glass cleaner is appropriate vs. something made for LCD screens.

?

steve can just put water into a bottle and sell it at all apple stores as iphone cleaner for $40 a bottle and it will sell.

i use my pants. by the time i take it out of the pocket it is usually clean. if i talk on the phone after work or something strenuous (more oils/grossness) i will wipe it on the outside of my pants/shirt and everything will be fine.

i can't imagine having to use a cleaner. your iPhone would have to be sooo gross.

I used to use a micro-fiber cloth used for eye glasses. It was a pain to always use it though cleaning it all the time.

I got a Invisableshield for the front (say what you will I love their products) it's like having a 3gs's oleophobic screen being in AZ it's hot in the summers you walk outside and your instantly sweating I just gotta run the front of my iphone on my pants leg and it wipes it all off just like a 3gs

My 3G was that gross :D

The 3Gs is way better for grime.

where did you guys get your screen protector, the apple store? And how much was it?

I use the Power Support Anti-Glare screen protector sold at the Apple Store. It does wonders with repelling fingerprints, etc. Also, you don't get the annoying glare when using your phone outside or in a bright room.

I've tried several other brands of screen protectors and this one is my favorite by far. I just love how it doesn't collect gunk and finger grease!
