The government tracks you, your bank tracks you, insurance companies know everything about you. Google tracks your interests, and that's it, they don't even know your name because they don't care.

Google knows my IP address, my ISP, and all my web searches by ip address, which is more than the government. Why do you think the Gov asks Google for info? How naive are you?

Google Streetview knows who I am and where I live. Google won't share that info with you, or even my own data with me. You think this is OK?

Personally, I don't see the problem. I'm just one of billions of people. So long as I can be private when I shut my front door and no-one empties my bank, I'm happy.

How are companies like Google supposed to keep offering products and services we want if they're not allowed to watch our usage habits?

Surely publishing your life on Facebook etc. negates any privacy policies?

Maybe someone could explain what the big worry is?
