Honestly the 6.1 is so pointless, why make a cheaper yet bigger version? Most people who comes from the pre x want something small
In my experience this is true and I also thought it was bizarre to give the entry level model a larger screen/body than the Xs. But no doubt they’ve done their research (and they know full well that the increased size will result in a good chunk of buyers opting to pay more for the Xs)

Looks like whoever “leaked” the Max name to BGR and 9to5 just got narrowed down by Apple Global Security.

iPhone XC
iPhone XS
iPhone XS Plus

Curious which hardware it will share with the iPhone 8 (e.g. single camera), versus which hardware it will share with the iPhone XS (A12?). When the iPhone 5C was released, it received prior year internals from the iPhone 5.

I love the idea of the iPhone XS, but pronounced "Excess" -- with a tagline like "For those who want more."

But I also wonder about the "i." It seems like across the rest of Apple's product naming, the hardware and software (particularly the latter) are going other ways. We have Apple Watch, Apple TV, Apple MacBooks, and Apple Mac Pros. Plus Watch OS, TV OS, and MacOS.

The "i" sticks out.

I know it's Apple's most popular product, but I wonder if they'll eventually move to Apple Phone and Phone OS or something.

I don't know what they'd do with the iPad then, though.

Someone posted an article a while back about how and why Apple names some products using "Apple" or "Mac" (for computers) instead of using the "i" moniker. I'm sure at one point in time there was a rhyme and reason as to the naming conventions, but at this point they wouldn't want to ruin brand recognition by changing something that isn't broken.
