Currently have the 2TB/Cell 12.9 iPP. I’ve always maxed my storage on my devices bc I like having immediate access to my files and not be dependent on data coverage since I travel. Had the 32gb 3GS, 64gb 5S, 128gb 6S Plus, 256gb 8 Plus, and now a 512gb 11 Pro Max, that I won’t be upgrading until something truly innovative is introduced. I also had the 128gb iPad Air/Cell model back when that was the 1st iOS device to breach $1000 after taxes back in 2013. Moved on to 512gb ipad Pro 10.5/cell. Now rocking a 2tb/cell M1 12.9 iPad Pro. I also have an 256gb/cell M1 11in iPad Pro that I got at a crazy deal one month after release - June of 2021 for ($399.00) - so I had to pick it up. That’s what I’m using to type this message…lol.
I edit videos and keep all my games, notes and books from uni on my iPads. Mind you I graduated decades ago but use my books as reference material. I also keep many hours of lectures on hand from uni that were transcoded as well as multiple Master Class videos locally. I try and support game developers so I purchase all serious attempts to bring pc and/or console games to this platform to encourage a shift away from the candy crush type games. I have Divinity Original Sin 2, Alien: Isolation, Wreckfest, Grid AutoSport, F1 2016 (no longer available), Talos Principle, (Annapurna games - Journey, Flower, Swan..etc), Castlevania SotN, Dead Effect 2 (no longer available), OG Tomb Raider 1&2 (no longer available), Ark Survival, OG Baldur’s gate, GTA 3, VICE CITY, San Andreas, Max Payne, Crazy Taxi, XCOM, Deus Ex: The Fall (no longer available), Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath, Oddworld: New n Tasty, Oddworld: Munich’s Odyssey, Unruly Heroes, République, KOTOR 1 & 2, Battle Chasers: NightWar, Godfire (no longer available), Oddmar, and Forgotten Memories. There are so many more but my point is I use a lot of storage and don’t like the anxiety of gigabyte watching…tiring. Also I think we need to support our developers so more would bring their AAA titles to this platform. Notice the ones that are no longer available, I believe, they didn’t perform well. Steve Jobs got us used to cheap apps but super expensive hardware. I think if we make this platform a viable revenue source for developers then more pro apps and AAA games would find their way here. I know I went off the rails (off topic) but I think it’s a vital talk that needs addressing.
