I have 2 Android tablets Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and the Galaxy Tab 2 7(As a back up) and a powerfull 11.6 inch Windows 8 tablet Acer Iconia W700(I5 core).

I use my Acer Iconia W700 just to:

Edit my Youtube videos and upload to Youtube.
Surfing the web
Watching videos
Reading the news
Downlading Files, Videos

On my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 i do:

Light Gaming(Angry Birds, Labyrinth, Racing, Soccer Rally, more)
Surfing the web
Watching videos
Read the news
Checking emails
Checking the weather
Write scripts for my Youtube videos

So what leaves my gaming Windows 8 laptop = I have completely ditched my laptop and is now collecting dust.

It is safe to say my tablets have replaced my laptop completely.

What tablet do you have? What do you use your tablet for?

I use my iPad for the following tasks - in no particular order

Excel
Word
Bible
Reading
Watching videos
Some games

Most of my heavy lifting is done by my laptop, the iPad simply is not the best tool to do what I need done - my rMBP is a better solution so my iPad is a secondary device.

Mainly email as I sit on the couch. Although I hardly pick it up anymore thanks to having a Note 3.

My kids use it now for games. Way cheaper to buy an app than a DS3 or Wii, etc....game.

mine gets the most use as a tv remote/remote for my lights. I do surf the web on it, but daily I use it for a remote. I have a harmony smart hub and it just works so well.

I use a laptop at work, but outside of that I have not needed a laptop in probably 2-3 years.

Similar sentiment here, at least regarding the laptop. I use one of our few Macs primarily for video encoding and some photo editing, otherwise I can do pretty much everything else with my iPad. My wife on occasion will use a MBA to remotely connect to her patient records at he hospital, otherwise use of our computers is predominantly done by my kids for their schoolwork. Check that, our Mac Mini gets most of its use as an iTunes and PLEX server.

I used to use a Nexus 7 for just about everything, even taking it with me everywhere since I used it on T-Mobile, but then I got a retina Mini. The nexus 7 would barely give me three hrs screen time.

Now I use the mini for everything from listening to podcasts in my car through BT, typing this reply on it, FB and other social apps, Numbers, and even paying my mortgage. I also use my air for these things plus Netflix.

Including six hrs podcast listening, I got 21 hrs usage on this last charge on my mini.

In no particular order:

-Gaming
-Social networking
-Music
-Movies
-Streaming video (YouTube, ESPN)
-Office (document/spreadsheet/powerpoint creation)
-Comic Books
-Text Books
-Web Browsing
-Occasional VPN to my home iMac
-Remote for my AppleTV/DirecTV boxes
-As a second screen when I'm out and about (paired to my MBA)
-Bible
-FaceTime
-Email
-Photo editing
-Shopping
-Controlling my home network via Airport
-Portable Scanner
-Note Taking

These are the more general uses - I'm sure there are some "one-offs" also. I had been without a personal laptop since 2011 until last year. Had to pick one up for my Masters program as some of my classes required specific Excel add-ons and such. Though I still do MOST of my school work on my iPad.

I've had my iMac since 2011 for use as a gaming machine (very sporadically) and a media hub for my house.

I have a Lenovo A1000-L Android tablet. It is a huge step-up from the cheap Chinese tablet that I bought because I thought it would be a good idea. It isn't massively fast, but I use it for basically the same things I would use my phone for and when I want a larger screen, aside from making phone calls or texting.

Basically, that includes Facebook Messenger, a few games including Tiny Tower, Minecraft and 2048, using Netflix or YouTube, checking email or browsing the Internet. I can type very quickly in portrait mode on this tablet because of its size and design.

The only camera this tablet has is a front-facing camera and it really sucks, so I don't use it for anything.

I still wish that I had an iPad mini. I like those more.

I use my tablet for browsing the web/YouTube/Netflix when I get home because its bigger than my tablet, I also sometimes leave it downloading on utorrent overnight rather than leave my desktop on.

Not much now, just sits on my bedside table and I use it to Airplay content over to my Apple TV. Basically a glorified tv remote....

I use my LG G2 phone for more...

Right now I'm playing with Verto Studio 3D. I bought the Mac version the other day, so I'm using both together with a nice little setup on SkyDrive to deal with my textures and such. Found a great renderer for the Mac too, so am going to write a few AppleScripts to render out and back in.

Also playing with Stackables, which lets you make custom filters for your photos and save them as formulas. Seems pretty good.

And reading/marking up some manuals for new programs I'm learning to use. Mostly because they're PDFs and the Kindle isn't any good for that. :p

Only really use it during downtime - evenings/weekends.

Movies/Netflix/Local catchup tv apps. Sometimes also live tv when I don't have access to the main TV.

Casual web browsing, Facebook, email, and browsing eBay.

Reading Feedly, Pocket, and Kindle ebooks.

Spotify & TuneIn radio - especially when in the kitchen and garden.

Educational content - e.g, iTunesU, TED.

Skype

If travelling somewhere and I don't need to do any work during the trip, I'll take my iPad instead of my laptop.

Nexus 7 (2013) ..... It replaces my phone when at home. Minus the phone part.

Ipad 2 .... Mostly as one of my alarm clocks and imessage on it when I don't feel like using my macbook.

Which reminds me ..... I forgot to use this Microcenter coupon I got in the mail 2 days ago for a free 7' Android tablet. They recently opened one up not to far from me. It's limited supply so they are probably out of stock already.

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
I use my 2012 Nexus 7 for: Games, I sold my PSVITA because of it, web browsing, You Tube, emails, everything really.
But I do use my MB Pro too, however having a tablet has enticed me to change my setup once, once I've finished it I hope to make my MB Pro desk bound with a nice cinema display. And beyond that I'll get a mac Pro hopefully.

So yeah, use it all the time. Never thought I would get so much use from a tablet actually. I have the Asus charging dock for it on my bedside table and sometimes put a film on it to fall asleep to.

My mum uses her iPad 3 I got her for everything, it has totally replaced her computer.

Light browsing, watching videos, streaming music to my sound system, etc. For anything more intensive, I hop on my Mac mini.
